You mean like Braxton Burmeister (Va Tech), Kenan Christon (USC), Cooper Macdonald (UW), Mark Redman (UW), and Cade Bennett (OSU)? Am I forgetting anyone? I'd say we did pretty well last year with P5 players in the portal. Like Burmeister and Christon, Caldwell is a local kid, we may have a very realistic shot at landing him.

Yes the Aztecs did add some players from P5 conferences But do you really think they are top P5 players ? Compare those players to what Arizona or other P5 teams added

QB BB was not a high quality QB -


What did the Aztecs need most of all OL - there was plenty of PT and yet they only got the OG from OK State - yes he was a fairly good player for the Aztecs

of the players you named do you think any will be named First or Second team MW - maybe in a year or two

What I am saying is that The P5 schools will get the majority of high level players in the Portal as they do when they are also recruiting HS players

A major reason why it is so important that the Aztecs get an Invite to a P5 conference

While I don't necessarily disagree with you, all of the aforementioned P5 transfers either started or were key contributors, I'll gladly take that each and every year. While BB ended up not panning out, he was our starting QB at the start of the season, and adding a starting OL, starting LB, starting TE, and backup RB is a pretty good haul imo. I would argue that if Mayden was starter from day one that Redman would be first team all MWC also.

I stand corrected Aztecs TE and OG did receive 2nd team MW honors

But if you take a look at the majority of the highly rated Transfers they mostly go to P5 schools

Take a look at the contributions that the Arizona Transfers production in the Aztec game - they had some game changers

The Transfer Portal assists P5 schools even more then Non P5 schools

Yes it is important and would hope Brady does use it even more


Agree that Mayden and Shavers have also been strong contributors - maybe would have done more IF the Aztecs had a better OC last season

Do hope the Aztecs are able to get even better at using the Transfer Portal but realize that P5 teams do have a major advantage that I hope the Aztecs can narrow IF they get into a P5 conference or try to work the system even better
