Los Alamitos (Calif.) defensive end Sinn Brennan announced his commitment to San Diego State.
“The staff as a whole has always been honest with me and it’s tough to find honest guys like that. Even though I never visited, I’ve heard from so many people that it’s a great school. I never knew so many people who went there but my family is surrounded by Aztecs so I’m very excited.”
“I love the defense,” Brennan said. “They have a lot of guys graduating too so there’s opportunity to play early.
“I think they like me as a five-tech and there’s a lot of flexibility down the line. Wherever they need me to play, I’ll play though and I’m exited to be an Aztec.”

Great pickup from Los Al. Watched his game last week versus loaded athletes from LB POLY (T. Gwynn HS). His motor didn’t stop in the Los Alamitos win. Teammate D.Henderson, CSU commit, rushed for over 200 yards & had 4 TD’S in the game.

Aztecs aren't exactly killing it on the recruiting trail, ranked 91st by Rivals. A mix of 2 and 3*s. (3) 2* and just (1) 3* OL. If Goff has another mass exodus of OL to the transfer portal and all he can recruit for the most part are 2* replacements, I think it will be time to think about a replacement at that spot.

although Brady does not like the Transfer Portal it has been very valuable for numerous teams - including the Aztecs

The talk about coach Goff is a little off-base these days. The fact that it takes longer to develop lineman at the D1 level (upperG5 level) and makes for bringing in a new OL coach interesting and will likely take a couple years to show how things are working out. A few people keep talking about a mass exodus of linemen last year? I do not understand Mass Exodus, one guy lost his starting position the last few games in the season in his 5th year (was not looking good at all by end of season), one guy had already Graduated and had very little playing time in 3 years and got passed by Freshmen on depth chart and then a Freshman who never even made it onto any kind of depth chart or into any kind of conversation about status or ability and never saw the field and transferred out at the semester (if not earlier). I find this hard to say Mass Exodus more like thinning the heard. The bigger issue is whose idea was it to start the season with such an inexperienced offensive Line with a questionable starting QB issue, a long history of poor QB play with lack of production from the passing offense and sup-standard (well below average) OC/QB coach.

He just played Long Beach Poly----you don't think those guys are pretty good too? Yes I know how good Mater Dei is.

Yes but there's a chasm of difference in talent from St John Bosco/ Mater Dei and the rest of the D1 bracket. Each of those squads about 30-35 dudes with FBS offers. Bosco has 6 DBs with FBS offers while they start 4. It is great seeing Poly back in D1 again.

Agree with this take. Also how did a thread about a new DE commit get highjacked to bring up Goff?

Agreed and no reason to think there will be any defections on the OL. Three highly recruited guys were redshirted this year and hopefully will be big contributors next year. All signs on OL improvement are there. Lastvyear there was only one guy who left for another program. The criticism of Goff is bogus.
