I had an appendectomy in 1969. I realize that's the stone age medically compared to now, but I can't imagine anyone playing football only four days after the operation. Heck, I was in the hospital for three days. It's probably an outpatient proceedure now I guess.
Great break for the Chargers.

No way he plays. Minimum two week recovery, from what I have read. Todd Haley is just trying to reveal as little as possible, to keep SD guessing. It's not working. Croyle will start.

Well, tough break for the Chiefs, and I hope he has a full recovery. But to play him would border on the criminal. JMHO.

This is way late, but he could play this weekend. Big Ben in Pitt had the same operation (do you see me avoiding hard to spell words here? It is too late to think that hard.) Ben missed the game 4 days later but played the following weekend. We'll have to see if he practices this week at all.
This weekend is big because it is the toughest game they have left (I think anyway). On the road at St Louis. After that they are at home for the final 2 weeks (where they have not been beat this year and are legendarily good in December.)

2008 Chiefs were 0-3 in December at home with losses against Broncos, Chargers and Dolphins
2009 Chiefs were 0-2 in December at home with losses against Bills and Browns.
Anything legendary about Chiefs would have to be 15 years old or older.
Cassel is still hurting and St. Louis will easily cover the 3pts.

Not quite fifteen years, but start five years or so and then go back over the 20 or so before that. It is true that KC has been awful for awhile, but I'm pretty sure they've made it clear that is no longer the case. Though I agree that St. Louis wins this one. They're finally building a decent team there again (for the first time since Faulk was there.) Too bad it took so long, they wasted most of Stephen Jackson's career.
