Second wrist surgery. Don't expect him to be the same player again. Too many times under the knife.

Second wrist surgery. Don't expect him to be the same player again. Too many times under the knife. Don't fall for clickbait articles. The second surgery just replaced the original screws with a central, more reinforced screw to make the fix more permanent. The timeline is the exact same, spring training, as it was before. The U-T desperately needs clicks, but this was just a dumb headline to generate views.

Tatis will either use the adversity he's been through as fuel and prove that he can be relied on, and maybe become a leader in the clubhouse one day. Or, he'll continue his immature ways and get traded and maybe just be an above average player.
So, I'm more worried his mental state and how he's going to channel what he's gone through, more so than his wrist injury. Although, his shoulder is still a concern, more than his wrist, possibly.

IF Ohtani was under contract for as long as Tatis is... Oh yeah, I'm only talking if all things were equal, I'd take a pitcher/masher all day long. 2 for 1. Not a reality, so let's hope Tatis has learned from all of this.

His shoulder should be way more stable but that wrist gets pressure with every swing of the bat.

Yes, if you're a baseball player, the wrist is one spot that you don't want to damage. They're both a concern going forward.

Probably depends on how much of that flea bite juice he's still got left…

Probably depends on how much of that flea bite juice he's still got left… Considering he never played while he tested positive, I don't think anyone has to be concerned about that.
