They are saying he played in 3 games last year so will that gives him 3 years to play, he also has already used up his red-shirt year at Alabama.

Warren Washington just announced he's leaving Nevada, on to I think his 3rd school. Remind me, MWC-to-MWC transfers not allowed right? Too bad, local kid who is likely just what the doctor ordered if Mensah leaves. I think they are allowed. How many football players from Nevada just transferred to CSU? He could come in and start. But seems like he’s never healthy if I remember correctly. He would be eligible

There's a good discussion about next years roster toward the end of the interview. This is why Ziegler has lost all credibility at this point.

Summaries are nice since its behind a paywall. You can get online access for 4 months for $4, then cancel if you wish. Or try your browser in incognito/private mode. But real brief summary, he listed who's staying, leaving, and coming. You probably know all of those, plus he confirmed Dinwiddie is entering the portal. Then talked about who may be coming... Two almost certainly will be guards, a point and a shooter. It is the No. 1 area of need after limping through a season where Pulliam and Butler had the two lowest Kenpom offensive efficiency ratings in the Mountain West among players under 6-5 who received regular minutes. (In their defense, both missed large stretches of the season from illness or injury.)
The good news: It’s a lot easier to find guards in the portal than quality bigs.
“We need guards, no question we need guards,” Dutcher said. “But that’s not all we’re looking at. We’re looking at every position. I’m also not opposed to bringing in a guy who would redshirt, like Jaedon did, a transfer who would be really good if he sat a year and developed and waited their turn.”Warren Washington was the only player he actually named - said this... He has two years of eligibility remaining and is from Mission Hills High in San Marcos. And might be looking to return home to finish his college career.I think WW would fit right in, and would be our only local kid on the roster.

In basics - Zeigler thought with Covid battles , The team not really having the offense the coaches thought they had , including the transfers having to learn Aztec defense - meaning more running then any of them thought they were going to do - thus taking away from their offense ( that also meant Matt ) tired legs that hurts your shooting ,
So having to teach a lot more basics then they had thought was going to be needed .
Lamont's injury and family situation - hurt his season
Trey going back to Texas and then getting sick - came back weaker then normal and having up and down season
Nathan was top defender But way too many fouls / sitting on the bench not being on the court and not getting that much from TD or Joshua
Matt had to change a good part of his game - also tired quickly
So Dutcher and the staff may have done better then those who closely follow the team may have expected .
The MM game was the buss coming off the wheels as major breakdowns both physically and mentally - Poor execution from some experienced players . Way too many TO's and missed FT's
a lot that needs to be corrected for next season .

SF 6'9" 195 lb Max Agbonkpolo USC, in the portal, 3rd year at USC- 7.7 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 46% FG, 29% 3FG, 71% FT from Santa Margarita Catholic HS, in CA drew interest from SDSU and offered by the Aztecs in April, 2018.
Winston Shepard type player, I could see him fit-in, in the Aztec system.

Right now the Aztecs need a point guard. An athletic press breaking, ball taking, assist making point guard who can get Bradley and Baker-Mazara open looks.

Waiting for Gundo Bulletin
But think one of the USC guards also has entered the Portal Not Boogie but maybe Evan Anderson ?
also others
As Coach Dave explained the coaches check the Portal Hourly - send out inquires to see if the transfer is interested in the Aztecs - if they respond yes they start doing their homework about the transfer
Last year they even made a list before the POrtal who they would be very interested in . Matt was on that list . So they moved quickly .
Again the transfer has all the leverage .

Correct Ethan Anderson 6'1" PG - averaged 4 points , 2 assists to 1 TO , 2 rebounds and was a good defender , plays over 30 minutes a game
Would have 2 years to play - from LA

Matt was on that list . So they moved quickly . Again the transfer has all the leverage . 50 to 100 guys hit the portal every day, today there are about 800 names entered. And one would expect up to 2,000 players to enter the portal in 2022. Last year about 1,725+ players made it into the portal given rule changes in eligibility, graduate transfers, and covid-19 extra year. Aside from the one player linked to SDSU (Jalen Bridges) based on Aztec his interest, it is still too early to start making plans. The Tourney has NOT ended, neither has the NIT, CBI Basketball tournaments. HS recruitment is still going on. Division 1 - HS contact periods are as follows:Nov. 12, 2021-Mar. 30, 2022 Except: Dec. 24-26, 2021, is a dead period Apr. 7 (noon)-20, 2022 Except: Apr. 8-10, 2022, is an evaluation period; Apr. 11-14, 2022, is a dead period Apr. 25-28, 2022 NBA Draft, college players are prepping for the draft/free agencyEarly Entry, Apr 24 NBA (National Basketball Association) Draft Combine, Chicago from May 16-22 Early Entry withdraw, June 1 2022 NBA Draft June 23, Barclays Center in Brooklyn Expect over 200+ players to enter their names I do not see most of the Transfer activity/commitments happening until late April. That is when HS signings are complete, and players start thinking about entering into the NBA draft.
