This seems like a hire that was largely based on who they could get cheap.
I think Colorado will benefit from moving to the Pac-12 since they used to heavily recruit California back when they were good. They were never a good fit for the Big-Texas conference.

Colorado is a mess, and just hired on the cheap again for one of the lowest budgets in the AQs.

I never met Mike Bohn while he was at SDSU but a couple people I know did and said he was a great guy. Great guy or not, he's done a terrible job at Colorado.
Though the alumni have been so giddy over going to the Pac that he really had no choice about that. Still, their athletics budget is already in deep $#!+ and not only is the Pac's TV deal far inferior to the Big 12's, the cost of travel for their non-revenue sports is about to increase.
