would think any QB that wants to battle for a starting position would be looking at the day they have to be enrolled at a school for Jan semester ?

I've been watching that last play over and over, and over again. not quite sure he hit his intended target. but its fun to think he did.

As we learned from the Sears incident last year - let's wait until he is officially enrolled at SDSU and signed all the documents .

Is anyone else uncomfortable with the number of teams Burmeister has wooed and then bailed on?
"He originally considered SDSU out of high school before committing to Arizona. Shortly before signing day, Burmeister flipped that commitment to Oregon, where he spent the 2017-18 seasons. He played behind future first-round pick Justin Herbert — starting five games as a true freshman in 2017 when Herbert was out with a broken collarbone — before transferring to Virginia Tech."
This is not, from what I see, a team guy. This is a me-guy. I don't want to jeopardize Will Haskell's Aztec future for that kind of person.

We need an experienced QB to join the competition for the Fall. It's entirely possible that Haskell beats out Burmeister, and Mayden could even figure in that if he gets out of the dog house or whatever was pushing him down the chart.

I understand the coaching staff's desire to have someone with experience in the mix. But, if it were to cause Haskell to transfer out, I wouldn't do it. Burmeister for 1 year vs. Haskell for 4 years...I'll take Haskell. I also thought Mayden played very well when given his 1 opportunity at the end of the season. I'm more concerned about the OL than I am at QB.

Even if Burmeister wins the starting job Haskell would be 1 hit away from starting.

When talking with XTRA 1360 on Friday, Brady Hoke said the following about the QB position for next year, "I feel good about the young guys that we have, we'll find out a little bit more maybe here in the next couple weeks." I felt that was referring to Burmeister (or other QB transfer).

I like your thoughts here… BB is clearly transferring in thinking he is coming in to be the starter… You have to believe that Will thinks he should be the starter. The coaches have to be very careful here…

He committed to Arizona before having an Oregon offer, but if Oregon comes calling why stick with a mediocre to poor Arizona program when you can play at one of the best programs on the west coast? Ever seen their facilities? Then, he struggles in Oregon & doesn't see a path to starting so he transfers to another P5 program that allows him opportunity where he plays a couple years. Now his HC gets fired and the new guy is bringing in a new system, so he's looking to transfer closer to home for his final year. And hopefully to a winning program. I don't see anything negative about any of the above. Its a normal progression these days.

Does he? Yea, I don't see that either. His clock started in 2017 when he played in 5 games. 2022 would be his 6th year, so unless he's on the Lucas Johnson 7-year plan.... I don't think he has 2 years lost to medical hardship + the free year...
