I hate how conferences and the media spin those games so that it's a win-win for BCS/AQ schools rather than presenting it as a double-edged sword, which it is. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
This all stems from the fact that I've heard media and members from the AQ-schools, particularly Big-10 and the SEC, say that a one-loss Auburn school should still make it to the BCS NCG over TCU with that one loss being the SEC Championship Game.
What's the point of having that Championship Game then? Oh, I know. So that they can use it to their advantage within the BCS.
Why is it that if a SEC team were to WIN their conference championship game, they can use that as leverage to benefit themselves in the BCS (as LSU did in '07 with two losses), but if a SEC team were to LOSE in that same conference championship game, they can just brush it off like it doesn't matter.
So dumb. Another reason why I hate the BCS.
