There was a big football game in Sacramento, on Friday, December 3rd.
It was the Sac Juaquin's D-2 Championship, pitting the much Heralded Grant Union High School Pacers against the lesser known Folsom High School Bulldogs.
The outcome was a solid win by the Folsom High School Bulldogs, 41 to 20.

However, some things that made this game interesting include the national ranking held by Grant, the number 14 ranked team, regardless of division classification, versus a team that wasn't anywhere to be seen on the national radar screen. And, there may be justification to that because Grant did defeat the now 13 & 1 Folsom squad back in August.

As for players, according to Rivals, both schools have five college prospects listed. Grant has two four star prospects, two three star prospects and one with no stars. Folsom has two three star prospects and three two star prospects.
One o the most interesting aspects of the game is the play by Folsom's quarterback, Dano Graves. A bit small for a college prospect, he is rated as only a two star prospect and apparently has an offer by only one school, Sacramento State. In this game, even though he was playing with an injured leg from last week, he did everything possible to remind the viewers of Fran Tarkenton. This guy was all over the field, rolling out and passing or rolling out and scrambling. He accounted for 289 passing yards and 146 rushing yards including four touch down passes and two touch downs rushing.
By the way SDSU WR prospect Cory Babineaux had one of those touch down receptions.
No game, at any level, is a given until the game is played.
