July, 2019. Three guys were Magnificent: Machado, Franmil and Tatis. Those guys really bonded and had a lot of fun carrying the team. They were our "DOMINICAN FRIARS!" Then Franmil was traded, two weeks later Tatis was lost for the season, and Machado seemed to lose interest without his pals on the field.

Without a DH, Franmil Reyes was never going to stay in San Diego.

A huge issue has been Frazier unfortunately. Below from Acee. There's no way they could have anticipated this happening, and I agree with Tingler he seems to be pressing big time (as are a few others).
________
Frazier put just two of his nine swings in play last night and has put just six of his past 29 swings (20.6 percent) in play since Friday. Before the past four games, he had put 46.6 percent of his swings in play this season.
His strikeout last night was his fifth in is past 11 at-bats and his 12th in his past 47 at-bats (since Aug. 10). His strikeout rate of one every 9.9 plate appearances through Aug. 9 was third best in the majors.

LOL - the look on Frazier's face just now when he reached first base safely. Yah, he's been pressing. And then the look on everyone's face when he drops a very catchable fly ball. What a mutt.

In 34 innings versus the Dodgers, the padres scored just 3 runs. These guys just ain't got NO heart.

Doggers have exceptional pitching, but the Padres couldn’t hit water if they fell out of a boat tight now. They’re just pathetic.

Hopefully, he'll turn it around, soon.

Disappointed in the entire team, its coaches, and the management right now. Complete failure over the last five weeks. Can they somehow find something to turn it around with before time runs out? They’ve got the personnel, they’ve got the skill … do they have the will? Time is running out.
Lucky fans pay 20% more to watch this crap in person next season…

Earlier in the year, this was a running team. That has all but gone away since the first months of the season. Opposition infielders are now stationary and sharply hit ground balls are not getting through as often. I’m not sure why the Padres went away from the running game.
