Tony Bland was the lead recruiter for USC. Morgan said that their relationship was the game changer for him. After his announcement he was seen driving off in a Lamborghini.

thought we were supposed to be one of the better places to transfer to ? By the way Bruner chose Alabama You don't think we are? Morgan had formed a close relationship with the primary recruiter at USC. Nothing against SDSU there. The 7'3" guy from LMU deciding to stay at a program than went something like 12-21 last year is more a reflection of his game than it is of SDSU as a transfer destination. I maintain what Terrell Gomez had to say about SDSU, to the affect of "SDSU has the best basketball culture in California". That includes alot of schools, including 4 from the Pac 12. That's a young man who has been around, and who knows the landscape. I would tend towards his opinion, as opposed to the opposite. There will be other opportunities.

By the way Bruner chose Alabama That's what makes major collegiate sports such a tough business.....So many quality choices for the talent to chose from..... It's also what makes the cancellation of this years' MM so devastating...We were perfectly aligned to possibly win it all!

That is five transfers for USC. How do they have that many scholarships from the basketball team? Must be placing guys on the rowing team scholarships. Yes, with all those guys they'll have a Full House!

Okongwu = NBA draft Rakocevic = Graduated Utomi = Graduated Matthews = Graduated Sturdivant = Transferred Adlesh = Graduated London = Football player on a football scholarship O'Bannon = Transferred That is 8 open scholarships, enough for 5 transfers and their 2 recruits. They have 4 transfers at this time.

thought we were supposed to be one of the better places to transfer to ? By the way Bruner chose Alabama What makes you think we aren't? Nobody gets all their targets, but we landed a top 10 GTR. Markusson stayed in place; he didn't choose Louisville or Minnesota over us. Morgan stayed in LA and went to a very good situation for him. Don't discount the fact we already have Nate. Anyone coming here isn't stepping into a starting spot. That plays into their decision. We may end up with someone who's more of a pure backup. Both those guys are starter level talent.

USC has under delivered but continues to reload.
