Jacob, Welcome aboard! Thanks for coming to play for the Aztecs! We put players in the pros. As a long snapper, you're following in some great shoes before you.
Great to have you as an Aztec!
Go Aztecs!

Did not see his name on the recruiting list from GO Aztecs - is it because he is a JUCO
Is Bernard the LS - thought as a senior in 2020 - would Jacob red shirt and be ready for 2021 ?

So does the long snapper only snap for punts or also FG's or PAT's or is that the regular Center.
also noticed that one of the guys we signed was also a punter on their HS team - what does it look like for who will be doing the punting - will it be our current PK

Araiza is the likely punter next year as long as it doesn’t affect his FG accuracy and you would assume it wouldn’t...

I doubt a senior transfers to sit on the bench. Supposed to be really good on KOs as well.

But he is gone and Bernard was the short and long snapper prior to his knee injury... The coaches likes Houston as the short snapper, because they could move him to TE or have him snap, more options.

He might win the job back but don't think that's guaranteed, especially if this kid is a Houston clone. Should be a good battle.

Either way I hope this added depth helps out the team. Houston started short snapping just to help out the team any way he could, that meant spending time playing on special team and learning the full back position. He was a true team player willing to do whatever the team needed.
