My wife and I attended a game at Clune Arena 2-3 years ago. You'll never find a better seat for the price. I just checked, $20(!) for midcourt, row 2, alongside Aztecs bench. It's a small arena, so you really feel part of things...you're practically in the Aztecs huddle. As you would expect, the cadets and crowd are kind and respectful.
We arrived early enough to take a tour of Academy and its famous chapel. Well worth your time.
I grew up in SoCal, yet had no trouble driving the winter roads. They were kept clear and well maintained between Denver and Colorado Springs.

Football is great too, weather permitting.

way too many nightmares of the Aztecs - with a more talented team losing at a mountain school . Also the trips there for the team and back have not been easy can take a lot out of the team -

I spent most of my growing up years in Colorado. The AFA is an awesome place to visit, though I never attended a game there. Now you have me interested.

i got it . But even better part of the experience for me is watching the Aztecs win on an opponents home court . The mountain schools are brutal to travel to in the winter and many times gives the mountain team a major advantage on the court . Way too many Mountain teams have beaten us with teams that were not better then we were and it cost us in the conference standing , rating and opportunity for MM . Also very difficult on the players to travel there , get back or have to pay for a charter
Yes the view maybe nice but more important is getting the W for the team - especially how important it is to when we play in the MW and there are too many places for a bad loss - This would be considered a bad loss and we have little room for them if we hope to play in MM - would enjoy that trip even more

Totally agree. This was an awesome place to catch a game.
My original seat was baseline corner, about 12 rows up -- and I was completely psyched about the sightlines. But then, turns out I got there so early that a Aztec coach -- who had extra unused family passes -- caught sight of me in my red SDSU sweatshirt, came up and asked if I wanted Row 1 behind the Aztec bench.
Uhhh... Hell, yeah!

So last January, myself and 3 other Aztec Alum's had a ski trip to Taos and we planned to make the drive from Taos to the US Air Force Academy. What should have been a a 3.5 hour drive turned out to be more like a 5 hour drive one way. We missed seeing the campus because we got there so late, but could not believe not close in and intimate the seats are. The crowd there was pretty sparse given the foul weather so we had the pick of seats behind the team. We got our butts handed to us early as we could not score anything or anytime. Half time score was something like 33-20 with the final 62-48. The drive back to Taos was even trickier given the nighttime, snowing, black ice etc. I would go be back in an instant to see the academy!! We definitely "took a road trip for the the team" on this game!! Go Aztec's!!
