Not getting a chance to play for a conference championship stings but it has been a good season. Beating BYU and UCLA and having a shot at 10 wins is impressive. Also getting to watch possibly the best defense in school history was a treat. Fix the the offense and the future is bright. Thank you seniors!

Just aggravating that we could easily be 12-0 right now.

Just aggravating that we could easily be 12-0 right now. Was just thinking about this. A top 60 offense is all we needed!

Congratulations to the 2019 Aztec football team, a great year. Not perfect and a couple stumbles along the way. If you told me we would finish 9-3, defeat both UCLA and BYU after how last season ended...haha... Felt good to see all the dejected ones leaving the Murph tonight

Amazing they are 9-3 with the O problems this year. Glad the team stayed together and played hard every week. Hope we play a Power 5 team in the bowl. Baker had nice zip on his throws tonight.

Just aggravating that we could easily be 12-0 right now. That is what is so irritating to me. The offensive players do not suck one bit. There's a lot of talent on that side of the ball....but in my arm-chair quarterback opinion, all that talent was grossly underused or misused all season long, whether one wants to blame Horton, Schmidt, or Rocky SDSU beat BYU (who beat Tennessee, #24 USC Trojans, Boise State, and Utah State) SDSU beat UCLA (who beat #19 Wazzu and #24 Arizona State) If it's any consolation, the teams SDSU lost to all concluded their regular seasons with winning records: Hawaii went 8-4 and Nevada and Utah State both finished 7-5 going into their bowl games. Even if SDSU gains a new OC and has a better offense, playing these teams next season will all be tough games still

We beat the zoobs, ucla and fresneck.
That's all that matters to me outside the conference title.
3 out of 4 ain't bad.
A damm good season that could have been better but I will happily accept these results

Beating Fresno and BYU are huge for me. As well as UCLA. Throw in the other PAC teams we have beaten recently and it's been a really good decade of football. Congratulations to all the players and thanks to them for their hard work.

So, now what happens. In a way too early post mortem, we have a good returning defense. Will it be able to duplicate this year’s team? Can the defense continue to win games while having just enough Offense ? Will it continue to be running back by committee? Who will be next year’s punter? All teams will have similar questions. I just thought I’d get a head start. For all the frustrations, a 9-10 win season ain’t bad!

If, someone had told me before the season began that you would only beat UCLA & BYU (two old and frustrating rivals), and not win any more games I would definitely take it! To me, beating those two were the highlights of the season, and I'm very happy we did it!
So, going 9-3 this season is very good and I look forward to the possibility of winning 10 when we play a bowl game.

Will our signature wins still carry us to a decent bowl game? A bowl game as good as if we won the MWC Championship? Oldie Out

Years from now, when I run into a player and ask when they played, and they reply "2019"... Even with the BYU win and my fun trip to Fort Collins... My response will be:
Ah! UCLA... In the Rose Bowl... AT LONG LAST!

agree ASU dumps their OC and other coaches - yet will Rocky be content to keep Horton and other coaches - offense has been terrible
Congrats to the defense - but the offense is holding the team back

yes! congrats! now fire the oc. Herm Edwards already dumped his OC and a couple other offense coaches. Rocky isn't Edwards, and we still have a Bowl game to get ready to play. And, Rocky is not likely to fire any coach right now since we did go 9-3 for the season. No, I will not say the offense was good (not getting into it with anyone on that!), but he is not the type to shake things up dramatically until the end of the season. He will consider all things carefully at the complete end of the season.

Do not expect Rocky to fire Horton before the Bowl game but do think changes need to happen with the OC after the season is over . Team deserves better
