Not a good week for news related to SDSU football. Rumors that TCU's board of regents will vote Monday to bail for the Big East, speculation that Brady Hoke might leave for Minnesota and now this: www.sportsbybrooks.com/stuck-state-refuses-to-buyout-2-21-lobos-coach-29274Confirmation that Mike Locksley will return to UNM next year to fashion another 1-11 season which causes national embarrassment to our conference.

TCU I am not worried about. I don't believe internet rumors on conference expansion. Remember when Texas was going to the PAC 10? I'll believe it when I see the official press release.
Hoke was going to get interest. Interviewing during the regular season is BS though.
I think it's good news Locksley is coming back. 1 guaranteed win next year.

I think it's good news Locksley is coming back. 1 guaranteed win next year. That may be true. However, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link and I worry a bit that every year UNM allows that assclown to stay is not just one more year it's going to take them to put together a decent team, but more like two. His 2010 recruiting class was Craftian in the sense that if you just looked at the Rivals rating, it didn't look half bad. Problem is that three of the highest rated recruits never qualified academically. Bottom line is the longer he stays, the shallower the roster is going to be for his replacement.

This surprised me. I thought UNM would find the money to get him out.
What a lousy hire.
