Feeling proud of my grandson, who is a local high school grad and who was admitted for this upcoming year, and is transferring 18 units of high school credits. 1360 SAT score, 3.97 GPA and not getting any scholarship aid.

Those are the kind of stats that would please any grandparent. He’s put in the work. Well done. It’s wonderful when a person in need receives financial aid and when a student earns a scholarship.

I am embarrassed to say that with my HS stats from early 70s I wouldn't have been admitted.
My tongue in cheek comments with the admission scandal broke, was yes SDSU was implicated, the admissions officers accepted 12 packs of Coors Light for a spot.
Comparing the admit rates between State and Stanford is like comparing batting averages of the majors vs. AAA, no comparison on the quality of the applicant.
However, GO AZTECS!!!!
