Now let's go my A's! Way past due to end the winner-take-all game curse (0-8 since G7 of '73 WS )

Padres need to bring this guy back home. I believe he is a FA this year.

Now let's go my A's! Way past due to end the winner-take-all game curse (0-8 since G7 of '73 WS ) And make it 0-9. I don't know which is worse, being a Padres' fan (not sniffing the playoffs for a decade) or A's (perennially over achieving and often making the playoffs only to break my heart by not being able to win when it counts). Oh well, go Aztecs/Nats/Stras!

Since the Nats beat LA tonight to tie up the series at 2 a piece, Strasburg will pitch in the deciding game 5 in LA, so we will see if he can help them win it! I hope he can!

If Stras gets the W and KOs the Dodgers it will make this past (yet another) wasted Padre season palatable! The schadenfreude would be up there with watching BYU fans after a painful loss.

It will be a close game I believe, but if he pitches great then the Dodgers will be on the losing end. If not, then LA wins.

Not much makes me happier than sad dodger fans heading for the exit.

But that First Major League Game of his … Can it ever be forgotten? www.mlb.com/video/strasburg-s-dominant-debut-c8807669Trevor Hoffman used to say that he had a finite number of pitches in his arm, and so he did everything he could to conserve the number he threw during warm-ups and games. Strassy had a finite number, too, but he used quite a few of them on all those K's … And hitting speeds of 100+ regularly? Anyone at the Aztec game vs Utah when he K'd 23? In Trevor Hoffman's days, Tommy John pretty much ended your career. Nowadays, Tommy John extends your career. It puts miles back onto your arm.

Looks like Stephen will be pitching in the World Series... Nats jump on Cards in 1st tonight, up 7-0.
Will he get the start in Game 1 or will the Nats continue to defer to Scherzer?

Would be nice to see him pitching in San Diego again and getting the Pads to the WS.
