Maybe Alford and Noodles got in his head, the kid has sat for a year on Mussleman's bench, I am sure he is weighing pros/cons about transferring. If he is a 5-star star player, then perhaps he plays the year at Neveda and test's the NBA waters rather than waiting. Muss screwed him.

Will Brown stay now that Aweful + Noodles are in Reno's drivers seat. But then again he was the Mountain West preseason Freshman of the Year, who sat on the bench for Muss. Transferring means sitting out a year. I can’t imagine that a five star big would be comfortable sitting for two years. My gut say he stays and Alford tells him he will build the team around him. Brow will jump, if he has a good year, but needs the minutes.

believe he and the family want to visit the various schools/coaches- also some comments that he would prefer to play in a P5 conference

Brown coming back? I doubt it, unless he has SAT long enough.

Brown coming back? I doubt it, unless he has at long enough. I think that’s a real possibility. Musselman put him in an impossible situation. Brown is a talented five star big. He believes in his game and likely his ability to play at the next level. It must’ve been incredibly hard for this confident talented physical beast to basically be held out as a freshman. The coach screwed him. Brown can voice his frustration by leaving the program and sitting out another year. But, the coach responsible has already departed. Brown can play huge minutes in a few short months for a brand new coach by staying put. That option has to be attractive.

He now is looking for a program and a coach that he TRUST and honor is word. I think Musselman is a bull-shitter and a phony as FISH would call him. Yes, he plays for Alford, who is also a bull-shitter or he sits another year and picks the coach and program he wants to play for. Nevada sold him a bill of goods and then pulled back the commitment to development and PT. For Muss a deep teams was 7 guys, and maybe 8 (Brown how played 4 minutes a half, you cant really get into the flow and between the Martin brothers and Caroline taking 67% to 75% of shots he never touched the ball. You have to reward a big guy for working hard and not just jacking up threes all night.

Brown played 34 minutes in the Pack's last 7 games (late season, MWC Trny, NCAAs) 6 pts, 2 reb, 2-4 FGs ,2-3 FTs, 6PFs. I dont think he stays in Reno. Lack of TRUST and PROMISE. If he stays Alford must be handling over the keys to the castle.

That team was supremely talented, and deep. $#!+, Musselman cut a guy who eventually got 18 minutes a game on a Sweet 16 team. His team would’ve been far better had he widened his rotation. His stars would’ve been more rested and his reserves would’ve been more prepared to step up in the event of injury or foul trouble. Brown really got screwed.

Mahamadou Diawara, 6'10 235-pound 4-star recruit will take an official visit to Nevada starting Monday. Wolf pack needing bigs. Brown or otherwise.

Aztec recruiting and assistant coach search remind me of Rivals website. Nothing going on. No signings, not even rumors as to players and coaching candidates. Seems very peculiar. We've gone from being the conference power to mid-lower echelon frightenly quick and there is no reason to be optimistic.

Alford has said that he has told Brown that" Nevada would be Brown's team " still trying to land the high quality center - also making comments on how he helped develop players at Loboland and UCLA get into the NBA
Alford when asked about MW - did not say anything about SDSU - does hope to continue the first place finishes that Nevada has had , does have great schedule for this year . Knows USU will be a great team . Sees other" newer" schools really adding to MW
With Noodles help also trying to get Diawara- ( originally from Africa then moved to USA- looking for a fit with team mates , school and city ) -
Also have a grad transfer visiting that also plays the 5
If he does get Brown - it would be major for Nevada

Headed to University of Arizona. Miller picked up Jemarl Baker and Jordan Brown in transfers, plus 5 highly ranked recruits in 2019. So much for NCAA punishment and restrictions, while his Assistant Coach, Richardson is sitting in JAIL.
