As of now, I would say that this kid maybe the lead horse to start next year. I love fan message boards. You see it all.

So, two years in a row our QB has no other D1 scholarship offers? Strange and unsettling to me.
'bout the size of it.
IMHO, the press notices on Chapman far exceeded his abilities. Or was it coach's decision making. Moving forward, as always, we shall see.

Columbia and Fordham. The Columbia Lions, of course, won their only Ivy League title in 1961. In the early to mid-'80s, the infamously suffered through a 44-game, multiple-season losing streak. Products of this football factory include Sid Luckman, Lou Gehrig (a two-sport star) and Jack Kerouac, who's football injury set him adrift to hitch hike across America. So, yeah, not exactly an offer from U$C, Notre Dame or Alabama.

I can't believe you forgot the great Marty Domres who was a 1st round pick by the San Diego Chargers and managed to stick around for 9 NFL seasons despite a 27-50 TD-INT ratio.

It's kind of funny that 6 foot and 6 foot 4 just does not look that different.

I've always thought. Chapman was 5-11 at most.

Height is always hard to tell by pictures. Particularly when hats are envoled. I'm sure when he came in for his visit he was measured and weighed.

Any videos of him handing the ball off?! That will give us an early indication of how he’ll do as an Aztec. LOL

It's kind of funny that 6 foot and 6 foot 4 just does not look that different. There's an easy explanation. Chapman was wearing high heels.

All I can say after watching his video is he looks good especially one TD he tossed while getting hit. And, when he scrambled he kept his eyes looking for an open receiver down field, and was pretty accurate when he threw it. Not any really difficult passes for his receivers to catch. of course this was only a high-lite video, and he even ran pretty well when he needed to do so.
During college play he will of course get rushed & hit more often than he was in high school, and then we'll see how he handles himself.

so do you see the Aztecs running the same type of offense that we used with Chapman or Agnew or .... ?
Big question - can our OL block well enough for him to make plays ?

The question is does he look Div. 1A great? What this program needs right now is for Joe Green to come in here and win the job over Agnew/Baker/Sanchez as a true freshman. If that happens, I would say this program is on a trajectory to win another 11 games in a season. If that happens, the O line and running backs will step up their game. Honestly I hope the coaching staff has realized that the new targeting rules have made the game more passing friendly, hence spread offenses now have the breathing space for their 4/5 playmaking WR’s to do just that. Adapt and overcome.

Adapt and overcome. I would not have agreed four months ago but I do now. We must change what we're doing on offense or we wont succeed . Other teams have Horton figured out. Without a REAL passing threat we are predictable and stoppable . I give the Frisco Bowl as the recent terrible example . Will Rocky allow for a change? I doubt it or Jeff would be gone by now.
