What about the neglected trade deals?

This one deals both with the economy and foreign relations. I decided to put it here. Al Hunt is the columnist I love to hate, but here he makes some good points. (What came over him to be so sensible?! )

Columbia, South Korea and Panama are wondering why the Obama government will not finalize the important trade agreements that have been proposed between those countries and the U.S. Hunt has some answers to that question.

I too have Al Hunt as one of the less level headed folks around, but he does make some good points here. Pelosi says she does not want to put her members through another tough battle where they will have to defend their votes this fall. I guess we will see about that and this trade issue if Obama chooses to further put members of his party at risk in elections by making them vote for things their constituents are against.
