Not surprisingly, the letter sent to the "Honorable Donald J Trump", (better people than me, obviously), addresses SDSU's continued support of the DACA program.
As I trust other Alumni receive the same news letter I won't get into specifics, but to note one piece,
"San Diego State University, located at the international border with Mexico, is one of the most diverse universities in this country. This diversity is critical to preparing our students to work in San Diego's binational economy and a global workforce. Our students, regardless of their immigration status, are valued members of our educational community".
The letter is signed by Sally F Roush, President, Eric Rivera, Vice President Student Affairs, and Marcie Bober-Michel, Chair, University Senate.
This enewsletter comes on the tail of an article I had recently read regarding the widening gap between those that support deportation, the wall, repealing health care and other current toxic topics and those that don't. (I regret I don't recall where I read the article, but I trust such a topic will be easy to Google).
One common denominator is the level of education among supporters verses non-supporters of the current agenda. You may have guessed it, the lower the education level, the more likely support for the current Presidential agenda. It would be easy to blame the Electoral College as our fore-fathers believed both the rural and urban needed equal representation, (the road to hell....), but this last election proved this country
is currently one giant crap fest. (For the record, I do believe educational levels do narrow among both sides when you factor in college sports, then a collegian's educational level usually drops by some 20 points. (I know mine did).
But seriously, athletics aside, (unless I can get some money), this once again illustrates why I am SO proud to be an Aztec Alumnus. (Next contribution, October 24th.)

What made you think this was the appropriate section to discuss your political views?

It's Aztec related, but is heavily political in nature. Anyway, this whole thing is much to ado about nothing. President Obama, after having said repeatedly that he did not have the constitutional authority to do this, went ahead and did it anyway. Someone needs to tell him that it's the legislature that makes laws. Oh, that's right! He used to TEACH the U.S. constitution.
Anyway, it's mcuh ado about nothing since it's the Congress that should be dealing with this. And there is no way in hell that the Congress is going to pass a bill calling for the expulsion of youths who were brought here by their parents when they were very young and know no other country. There are probably hardliners who want them all deported, but that's not going to happen.
Here is one case in which the President is absolutely correct. Don't forget, the consensus is that if DACA will probably be overturned on constitutional grounds by the courts if the legal process is allowed to run its course.

Off topic.
I guess since I disagree with Roush, I am intolerant racist.

If the starting point of a persons comments are so wrong where do you start? Maybe a Ha or Double Ha like Wakelaunch.
