RIVERSIDE TO HOST CENTRAL CHAMPIONSHIP BOWL

LA Harbor vs. Riverside
Riverside has been selected as the host site for the Central Championship Bowl, which is scheduled for Saturday, November 20th at Wheelock Field. Kickoff is 6 pm. The bowl game will pit Los Angeles Harbor College, champions of the Central West Conference, against Riverside City College, winners of the Central East Conference.
Tickets are $8 for general admission, $5 for children (12 and under), staff, senior citizens. No Riverside passes will be accepted for this event.
Riverside is not part of the four-team Southern California playoff format, which will decide who will play for the state championship. Those teams are Bakersfield, Mt. San Antonio, defending state champions, Saddleback and Cerritos.

In Northern California, the Hawaiian Punch Bowl will serve as the Northern California championship contest. In Southern California, the National Bowl and the Southern California Bowl will serve as the semi-final playoff games. The Regional Championship (November 27) will be hosted by the higher seed. The winners of the Northern California and Southern California championship playoff games will advance to the California Community College Athletic Association Football State Championship on December 11, 2010. The team advancing to the state championship from the South will host.
