RIVERSIDE WIN CONFERENCE TITLE, GOING BOWLING
FOOTBALL MEN (11/13/2010)
Riverside's football team completed its transformation, going from 1-9 last year to 9-1, conference champs and a bowl participant after scoring 28 second-half points in beating Southwestern 41-17 in a East Division game in Chula Vista. With the victory, Riverside (5-0 in conference) advances to the Central Division Championship Bowl.
Bowl pairings and sites will be announced tomorrow afternoon. There is a strong chance Riverside could host the November 20th game. The Tigers will take on Los Angeles Harbor, champion of the West Division. Harbor beat Moorpark 46-14 for its divisional title.
Riverside will take a 7-game win streak into its bowl game, the first post-season game for the Tigers' program since the 2005 season when Riverside lost to El Camino in a playoff game. The 9 wins is the best for a Riverside football team since the 1989

No surprise to me. Still glad he is gone, but he sure can coach. Just a little support from admin would have made a big difference for him.
