I read that SD is now interested in pursuing the Raiders for a new stadium in Mission Valley. Would you guys rather have a 30K seat stadium with MLS or share a new football stadium with the Raiders? Believe it or not it actually looks like SD may be the best option for the Raiders now.

Don't want The Raiders and don't want The Aztecs in a 65k stadium again.

Spanos must be crapping his pants at even the thought of the Raiders coming to SD.

The real problem with the Q wasn't its size but where the seats were - too low, too far away.

Roger the Dodger said today (basically) that without a stadium plan in place, San Diego is not an option currently for the NFL.

It's just something for all the grieving NFL/Chargers fans and radio hacks to ENDLESSLY talk about......and talk about.....and talk about....
It never ends. I hope the NFL does come back someday, but definitely not at the expense of SDSU. Let's have a little break from the NFL for now. Some day, maybe some big sugar daddy will decide to "Kroenke" out a stadium somewhere in the county. Or not.....

San Diego wants the Raiders as much as LA wants the Chargers. No thank you!

I agree that San Diego is in no position, at this point, to be taken seriously for an NFL franchise, (St. Louis still out there also), but that said, how would a 30,000 seat soccer stadium enhance the
image of SDSU football?
Assuming the MLS and commercial development thing happens, as far as I'm concerned, the only "victory" for State would be someone willing to pony up additional funds for increased stadium size.
At least then, the idea of "sharing" a stadium with a soccer team could be taken seriously. I still have a hard time swallowing the reality that the future of SDSU football could well depend on a soccer stadium.
This time I'll take a different approach. How DID it come to this?!

Supposedly Goldman Sachs is now going to put up the $650 for the Raiders in LV after all.
But if they didn't, there is no way I want the Raiders anywhere near San Diego so I'd rather go MLS.

I'd like to see the Raiders stay up in NoCal and move to the Sacramento suburb of Davis... And of course be called the Davis Raiders.

I don't understand your hang up about "sharing" the stadium with a soccer team. Sure the seating capacity is a concern, and I hope it will be more than 30K, but it's still a thousand times better than a leaking, creaking, dull gray, no-atmosphere money pit with lousy seating, crappy vending, and 40 year old scoreboards. Give it a rest until you see the final product and actually attend a game there. Then you can whine and bitch to your heart's content. Though I have a feeling you won't have valid reason to.

if Al Davis were still alive, I bet the raiders would be loading the buses to come to sd just to spite spanos.

Good thing technology moves really slow and things haven't improved much over those 30 years!!
