Tennessee, the last team to beat us in basketball last year was upset in an exhibition game to Indianapolis (See below).
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Indianapolis coach Stan Gouard took a note out of Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl's own playbook to lead his Division II Greyhounds to an upset exhibition win over the Volunteers (No. 20 ESPN/USA Today, No. 23 AP).
Gouard, who was part of Pearl's 1995 Division II national championship team at Southern Indiana, had his players use Pearl's trademark style of full-court pressure to force 25 turnovers en route to a 79-64 win over Tennessee on Monday night.

Glad to hear about any team with the world's most bigoted fans not being any good.
As an aside, Mike Huguenin speculated on Rivals Radio yesterday that Tennessee's AD will get axed if Pearl doesn't at least get to the Sweet 16 this year. The football team is lousy (though Tyler Bray was great on Saturday) and the NCAA is rumored to be sniffing around for recruiting violations by both Pearl and Ed Orgeron/Lame Kiffin (what a surprise).
Over/under on how many months until Pat Haden cans Kiffin: 25.

Cool, that will bring SDSU's rank up to at least #24.

wow... 15 point win... usually these upsets are flukes with 2-5 point margins. 15 points leads me to believe that either a) Tennessee isn't as good as advertised this year or b) they just couldn't get amped for an exh game...
still though... 15 points to a DII on your own court? Wonder what their board looks like right now >.>

Doesn't mean much. Syracuse lost their exhibition last year and I believe that they were a #1 seed in the tourny last year.

They didn't take this lightly or overlook anyone. Let's hope that focus carries over to the regular season.
