When UNLV gets a new stadium & medical school that will rapidly change. I'm sure they will be dying to invite UNLV and the awful 15 K attendance. Time will tell. That goes for SDSU & UNLV.

I posted this in 1997, '98, '99, '00, etc. Our best gambit is to team with UNLV and bust the doors down to P12 membership. UNLV is going to build a stadium on the strip, along with the Raiders/Adelson. They are already in the process of doing their own expansion onto land west of their campus that may include a medical school. SDSU will expand west and build a stadium, too. The two massively upgraded schools will be irresistible to the P12 in about 3 to 5 years. UNLV is going nowhere anytime soon as long as a conference cares about football and academics. Nonsense. They build a stadium on the Strip and use the additional 400 acres next to the Thomas & Mack to expand the school to include a Med School and science-research-oriented grad school, and their academic standing will skyrocket. Furthermore, once they dump their outhouse of a current stadium (the worst in the MGC, IMO) and move into a glitzy new on-campus stadium (shared with the Raiders), they could build one of the top fball programs in the West. And, finally, they have demographics going for them. Vegas will continue to grow dramatically and the region will likely boast over 3m residents in 10 years (they're at 2m now.) And that's not counting the 40m visitors annually.
