Its absolutely criminal that Boise gets 6 bonus games to our 2 What's criminal is reading other Aztecs saying the MW is a good place for us.

Last year the Pac-12 TV deal distributed about $21 million to each school. We are not in the Pac 12 so what's the point? Some 20something year old college dropout computer guy earned 700k last year. I'll assume you truly need me to explain it to you. The point is that it puts the MWC money in perspective to what the P5 schools are receiving.

I was going for the "Everyone knows how the game works, why complain and act like it hasn't been like that since forever!" Response. Lol

We still have a way to make more money than last year and that's getting people to buy season tickets. Just convince a couple people to buy some or your office to buy 4 to give to different people each week. Heh...that has been my plan for the past several seasons. I've had 2 more tickets than I needed, and I would share them with random friends, with the goal of increasing the number of SDSU fans. However, this year the tickets were raised $25/seat in price, plus there was a mandatory donation added to each ticket, which means that I won't be bringing random friends to games this year...

Nov 19 @wyoming at 12:30pm is intriguing. Should be better weather than at night, but those early games can be the Achilles heal for the Aztecs.

It's still cheap and you can sit anywhere you want in the stadium. Or just pay $12 at the gate for your friends.

Everybody knows that we aren't getting top dollar in this conference unless we are a proven Top 25 team that normally knocks off a couple P5 teams a year. So no surprise here. We still have a way to make more money than last year and that's getting people to buy season tickets. Just convince a couple people to buy some or your office to buy 4 to give to different people each week. Fill the Q, become a Top 25 team, beat a known P5 team in a bowl game and then maybe next year you'll see that climb over a million. Oh and please where only red and black to the games with SDSU on it. Our crowd needs to look like a crowd attending a B12 game not just some random event. The fans can change the atmosphere and that will help the coaches have a easier time recruiting now that they are winning consistently. has nothing to do with that, its entirely political, when was the last time we played Boise? will we ever play them again?

The MW has a set schedule . cycle of 4 years. Teams in the West play each other every year , just the home and away sites trade off each year . We only play 3 Mountain teams year 1 , then trade Home and Away sites , for year 2 . So we play BSU 2 out of every 4 years . We play them year 1 and 2 , then the other three Mountain schools in year 3 and 4 . 2016 is year 4 . 2017 we should play BSU at Home .
If we and BSU both keep winning our divisions then we could play them every year .

Last year the Pac-12 TV deal distributed about $21 million to each school. Isn't the estimate for Big Ten schools with their new deal more than twice that? Nearly yes, and hence why Larry Scott may be unemployed in a year if they don't fix the P12 network quickly. The SEC is nearly there as well. Hell, I'm surprised the P12 can even survive on that piddly allowance compared to their brethren.
What sucks about the MWC contract isn't the base Tier 1 contract (it's similar to AAC), it's the inequity of this bonus deal. If our football team sucked or if our market shrunk we'd actually be more likely to earn more, which his counterintuitive. CBSSN picks us because we have the best market (w/ CSU) & a good team.
And of course BSU's sweetheart deal. But it's done. There's nothing that can be done for a few years, so people can either constantly bitch & complain about it or move on. I find it amusing that years after it was done & given the fact this has been rehashed 10000+ times on this board, people still complain like it happened yesterday. Like it'll change next year (spoiler alert - it won't).
BTW, the AAC schools are getting killed by the FBS schools around them (B12/SEC/BX) just as much as we are by the P12 schools. We've all known since 2012 that was the case, and it's not going to get any better for at least 3-4 years.

As long as we do nothing, nothing will change. Your right.
