Too bad as we are the top Mwc team but only one ESPN game slated so far. Too bad the game at FSU is not being picked up by ESPN. Instead they will probably put a crap team like Wyoming on three times.

So all the MW games have been picked mostly by CBS SportsNetwork , and CAL game, 2 or 3 by ESPN family . Wonder why we question the MW TV deal for any MW team other then BSU ?

$800K? That's chump change, hell the A.D. at Wazzu wastes more money than that on FB in Pullmyfinger, WA! Heck I bet U$C spends that much dry cleaning their FB uniforms!! Pathetic! SMH!

I don't get the fuss. It's not a secret we have a bad TV deal, but it's out of our hands for the next couple years. What's the point in getting mad anymore?
Good info, but only for where I can watch these games

I'm a glass half full guy. If we were to win all 9 of those TV games, we'll get national attention worth far more than a bonus check.
And...we play in a 70k seat stadium. Let's sell 50k+ seats a game and create our own bonus!
Go Aztecs!

the problem i think is CBS gets first pick. ESPN gets the left overs. Im sure ESPN wants us, but they have to wait for leftovers...except in the case of Boise State.

Last year the Pac-12 TV deal distributed about $21 million to each school.

Last year the Pac-12 TV deal distributed about $21 million to each school. Amazing and scary. We won't even get close to 5% of that. If we did get 5% of that it would be a little over a million bucks and a lot of us would be happy.

yes major reason PAC wants to stay at 12 teams Money . Each school gets 21 million . If there were 14 teams each team would only get about 18 million . Also helps PAC schools recruiting wise . If SDSU were elevated to PAC , we would get the extra money plus be on the same level of recruiting as all the PAC schools . Recruits choosing between SDSU and say WSU , OSU , Colorado , and even some of the higher level schools ... we could very easily get some better recruits . So PAC will never let SDSU in .
unfortunately do not see it getting much better for SDSU if we are still in the MW . Would not hurt to take a look at AAC . TV deal for AAC is about the same ( but no special deal for BSU). BUT the AAC with SDSU and another school from the west area could bump the AAC TV deal up going forward , while shrinking the MW TV deal ?

Everybody knows that we aren't getting top dollar in this conference unless we are a proven Top 25 team that normally knocks off a couple P5 teams a year. So no surprise here.
We still have a way to make more money than last year and that's getting people to buy season tickets. Just convince a couple people to buy some or your office to buy 4 to give to different people each week. Fill the Q, become a Top 25 team, beat a known P5 team in a bowl game and then maybe next year you'll see that climb over a million. Oh and please where only red and black to the games with SDSU on it. Our crowd needs to look like a crowd attending a B12 game not just some random event. The fans can change the atmosphere and that will help the coaches have a easier time recruiting now that they are winning consistently.

MW leadership is no where - other then making sure Mountain schools - especially BSU get major slice of the action -Money for ESPN . Also great leadership on Bowl games last year to have 2 of the MW teams play in the same Bowl game . Do you think it will get better going forward ?

Last year the Pac-12 TV deal distributed about $21 million to each school. We are not in the Pac 12 so what's the point? Some 20something year old college dropout computer guy earned 700k last year.

It's all because CBS sports network gets the first choice. 7:30 kickoff for Cal is kind of late. I was hoping for an earlier kickoff. We should be able to get a good crowd for that game.

Last year the Pac-12 TV deal distributed about $21 million to each school. Isn't the estimate for Big Ten schools with their new deal more than twice that?
