If he comes here he'll need to split time with Jeremy and Kell will be back at the 2 (his natural position). Winston graduating opens a door and D'Erryl Williams (diminishing minutes) will be graduating by time Simon gets to play (after sitting out a year, transfer rules).

Hard to pass on a guy like him, he's known as a hard nosed defender as well as a solid offensive threat. Hope he gives us another look.

would guess he has to sit the 2016-17 season . So being able to start play 2017-18 . By that time Dakari, Matt and D. Williams will be gone . Also Malik . Trey in his senior year and JH will be a junior . MG-C will also be a junior .

The way we play, he could play the 1, 2, or 3 depending on who else is in. We have Kell playing PG half the time, so case and point. He's 6'5 with a solid handle and decent stroke.. mostly known for his defense for what I understand. He'd be a great player to have once Kell graduates, leaving Simon with 2 years to play as a starter.. and who knows maybe he'd find the starting lineup sooner if good enough

Oldie Out Seems like you could have 4 guys (Hemsley, Kell, Teki, and him) split 120 minutes at the 1-3. That's 30 minutes each -- seems reasonable. Then Kell would graduate and he'd still have 2 years left so PT doesn't seem like it should be that much of issue.

Sorry all, the folks over in Loboland already have it from "good sources" that he will be transferring there. Oh well, guess there is no point persuing him now......

Not in their vocabulary....I beleive the Simon proclamation is in the thread right before or right after the thread declaring that they should join the Big 12 or maybe even the PAC 12. I know there is constant talk of that here as well but I just can't help but chuckle when I read it there.

I would take him. But don't expect him to fill up the stats sheet offensively. He reminds me a lot of DA. Raw offensively and very good defensively. Right now what we need is a pure scorer that isn't afraid to make difficult shoot and a Center that can run a high pick n roll with the ability to knock down a mid range shoot.

To your latter point... True, but it's also easy to see that his skills could be very useful when he's eligible in 2017-2018.

I don't get why people are so concerned about our offense going forward. We are going to have a lot of offense talent next year. We need a center that can anchor the defense. And as much as I love Dakarai, Simon has more upside than him

Just realized he's likely getting a full release from Arizona, meaning he can transfer to another Pac 12 school. May be difficult to beat out some of them.

This is another classic case of a high tier recruit becoming a small fish in a big pond, then finding out there's probably a better player coming in right behind him.
