Simon is Ferguson's player host, so I'm not so sure he's looking to transfer

This is like training your outsource replacement. If he doesn't see the writing on the wall then maybe his basketball I/Q aren't that high.

It's official according to Rothstein. He will transfer. Yep: Time to change the thread title and remove "Speculation only" The positive is that he's transferring from a Pac-12 school which means UCLA, Oregon, Colorado, etc. are off the table. He also was interested in Louisville before he committed to Arizona so that too should now be off the table. The negative is that he transferred to Brewster Academy for his senior year in high school so he's certainly comfortable living on the East Coast and has already had a lot of exposure to the schools up there.

Simon can guard 1-3 but is not a PG on offense.

Looking for a more significant role and on a top tier team.
"I enjoyed my year at the University of Arizona," Simon said in a statement released by the school. "I would like to thank my coaching staff, teammates and the incredible fans here for all they did for me. My decision to transfer is centered on playing time. I would like a bigger role as a basketball player. Hopefully, I will be able to find this at my next program."
Kobi Simmons, Rawle Alkins and Terrance Ferguson would all keep Simon down towards the bottom of the depth chart. Simon was recruited by blue bloods and top tier schools, will be high sought.

Both Dakarai and D'erryl will be senior next year and will need to be replace the following year. I think Justin can play both the 1 and 2 so he will be sharing time with Trey and Jeremy.

Every time a transfer's name pops up here there is always speculation that he could be an AZTEC. Generally we tend to overinvest in these players to the point there are multiple pages of posts only to become internet debris! I'll wait!
