Very difficult to predict a class and rate it for 2016 , as noted usually can take a few years if you do not have to replace a lot of starters . No one in the MW has a 4 or 5 star guy that will incredible to watch . Aztecs have a few positions that need help after graduation . We do have 2 JC guys in school now that will be trying to start at C and DT this Spring into fall . Some schools lose so many recruits that freshman can be forced into playing . We can see if there are a few areas that guys may play or ,as most freshmen do at G5 schools - red shirt .
As Rocky pointed out now could be the year to rate the seniors to be at SDSU,for this fall . DP , Kazee 's ......class .
BSU's really tries to recruit Texas . That would be an area that may be worth looking at even more. Do see that we added a few from Texas , but there could be more.

And did so by hiring his HS football coach. Smart move, if it gets you a stud. They also lost a 4-star commit to Florida at the last minute, but managed to sign 2 others. It's interesting to look at their recruiting map - they basically signed all but 2 of their recruits from within just East Texas, and they didn't even land near the top group of recruits from that area. Shows how strong East Texas is - nowhere like it.
BTW, add UCF (2) & USF to the list of G5's with 4 stars - very solid classes.
Once again another top 10 (8th) G5 recruiting class, trailing Houston, BYU, Temple, BSU, UCF, CSU & Western Michigan. Obviously, it's just on paper, but shows a trend. Top 70 once again as well (66th).
Interestingly, we managed to stay above Georgia Tech, despite losing Lucas J to them.
Have to say UNLV had a very nice class for them, and the fact CSU did well (thank you stadium) is a good sign for the conference.
Once again, kudos to our coaching staff! Solid!

One thing to watch is if the kids actually get to college. We have seen big names sign but getting them to campus in August does not always happen. I think our class is solid but when teams jump up out of nowhere to have a good class, I wonder.

Doesn't look like composite includes humphill or at least 247 doesn't itself

247,Scout and ESPN do not include all 26 recruits for the Aztecs but Rivals does.

The Ranking is based on the recruit star system (which many of us know is a sham).
Let's see who stays (who leaves) and which are contributing to wins. Check back in a couple years.

I'm quite surprised that UNLV did very well. Usually, they're at or near the bottom of our league in rankings. Very impressive what their new coach and coaching staff are doing. When I went to the SDSU game at UNLV last season, my friend's female friend gave us wrist bands so we can go to the tent located on one of the end zones. I didn't know this but UNLV had some of their recruits there with their parents. So during halftime, all the recruits lined up inside and they had their photos taken. Even though my friends and I were a little inebriated, we managed to refrain from yelling "Go Aztecs!" We were tempted but I'm glad we didn't. More than likely, we would've gotten kicked out and lose out on the free food and booze. Rivals probably need to be notified that we don't use that old DS logo anymore.

there is no way most schools especially G5 schools have a proper way of evaluating the recruiting classes of the school , this early takes at least a couple of years . UT did a MW recap today . CSU had to sign 10 JC guys to fill out their class and try to get back in stride with other schools .
BSU has to get most good talent from Texas , no 4 or 5 star guys for them this year . Maybe take a look back at the last 3 or 4 classes would be better then guess about this year's . Due think Texas would be a state we could try to work even better . Getting into AAC might help .
