Started for OSU as a Freshman. From the SD area. Wonder if there is interest in SDSU.

So was he the starting QB at OSU this year as a freshman , got injured then retuned to play Ducks as WR ? He would have to sit as red shirt transfer this year and play either position for 2017 . Any word what opposition he prefers to play ?

If he can pass Rocky and Coach White's BS test, he may get a call back.

From El Cajon. According to his Rivals profile, there was interest from SDSU, but no offer. Other offers besides OSU: San Jose State, Colorado State.

Does that mean pass on the kid, or pass on the "BS test" (whatever that means)? AzWm

He may still want to play QB, and with OSU coaches thinking of him going to WR ...... Believe SJSU had a QB transfer out last spring, so may be a spot for him as a transfer.
Don't think he's a QB who'll tear up any league, but he's extremely quick & could develop into a decent player with time. He wasn't ready to play yet, especially at the P12 level.

It would be great to have a former Oregon and Oregon State QB sitting on the bench and be signal callers.

He'd make a fantastic safety.

this could be a very good weekend to drop by SDSU and take a look . Speaking of JR . If he graduates this summer can he grad transfer to any school he wants to for fall 2017? Or does he want to stay and battle for #1 ?

I saw him play in a game last season and thought that, as a freshman thrown into action, he looked pretty good. Very athletic. I'd take him no problem as long as the coaches think he'd personally fit in.

It could also depend on what position he prefers to play to use his athleticism , and what school has opportunities at that position for 2017 ? Coaches are recruiting now for 2016 season with NLI 2.3 .16 . Do Aztecs know if QB 2016 recruit L.J. will sign ? If Collins is looking at playing WR then he better know what teams offensive system can use his speed . Also the QB's they will have .
If you remember Marshall F . chose SDSU because we were recruiting him as a RB , the other schools wanted him as a DB .

Marshall proved himself to be an FBS-level running back from his first game, and then some. Last year, Collins proved himself not to be an FBS-level passer and the reason he's transferring is because Oregon State wanted him to play another position. The best QB for our offense is a pocket passer so Collins needs to go elsewhere.

SD kid? Let him walk-on and earn a schollie? The secondary could use some depth.

Now that we lost the QB for this recruiting class we need to take a look at him.

Now that we lost the QB for this recruiting class we need to take a look at him. The redshirt freshman Agnew is our guy.Johnson would have been on the bench for many years.
