I heard this over the weekend: "If Oregon & Auburn hold serve & play for the NC, look for BSU or TCU as #3 or #4 to play in the Rose Bowl"!

For this year it is a BCS rule. If a member of the PAC-10 or BIG-10 plays in the NC game then a non-AQ team MUST be chosen to play in the Rose Bowl.

For this year it is a BCS rule. If a member of the PAC-10 or BIG-10 plays in the NC game then a non-AQ team MUST be chosen to play in the Rose Bowl. They must do that once (at the first opportunity) from 2011-2014 Rose Bowl. But if TCU is in the championship game they can choose BSU to fufill that obligation or toss the dice and hope it doesn't happen again. 2014: Nebraska of the BIG-10(12) goes to the MNC game and The Rose Bowl is forced to take #12 SDSU. SDSU kills the PAC-10 representative in The Rose Bowl. Many PAC-10 heads explode.
