Would say that winning the West then MW Championship , Hawaii Bowl on ESPN,( plus going to Hawaii) should give a solid base and a lot more , for the coaches to solidify the current recruits for 2016 , or even add some additional ones plus lay ground work going forward . Getting into the top 25 would add another great element to the recruiting . Major thanks to the 2015 team and coaches for winning on the field . Nothing helps recruiting more then Winning . Would also be a great time for the AD ' department , to hit up Alums and even more important , get out into the communities of San Diego / Inland Empire and market SDSU football. Home game with CAL could help .

The same thing happened after the 1986 Holiday Bowl loss. We got commits from the top HS players in the area (QB Scott Barrick, RB Tommy Booker, WR Patrick Rowe, TE Ray Rowe), some of which contributed into the Luginbill/Faulk era.
Oldie Out

This could be the best time for recruiting and marketing SDSU football in a long time . Hope the coaches , AD staff take advantage of this .
Would be great time for a Victory Rally Parade for the SDSU football team , DT or at the Q .Asking all of San Diego to come and enjoy , Sponsored by SAN DIEGO City Council , Sports Commission , Bowl Group , County ...

If you want something like that, it should be an event ON CAMPUS.

Think the County and the City of San Diego could do one either at the Q or DT , to get the communities of San Diego Involved , what ever venue can be done so average fans or New ones attend !! Time to reach out
SDSU could also do one on campus and at MBB game for students and others .even invite San Marcos campus The more the merrier .
Spread it all over but in the next month is the time to make it happen . Also could help recruiting .So have it at both venues . Also see if Carlsbad area ( home of Chapman ) would like to hold something .

Our 2016 class has close to finished if they sign . With the two JC guys I think we have around 20 so far. What I look forward to is 2017 and beyond in key places like Texas . Hunkie cooper and Blaine Morgan are working it more

Does Horton still do Texas or who has what territory ? IMO Horton does a whole lot more recruiting then Toledo - maybe because he is both OC and RB coach ? Not sure how much the other OC's did ?
As we know recruiting is at least 50% of the job . Winning sure helps and is key to moving the Aztecs forward .

Toledo did 0 recruiting, Horton is still actively involved. Horton is the reason we have gotten a string of great RBs, and that continues with RSFR Washington and '16 commit Chase Jasmin.

I have a recruiting question for those in the know...
Are we limited to 25 scholarships in any one given year?...
Does that number change if we lose a number of transfers and/or underclassmen to the NFL?...
I know that there is a cap of 85 scholarships...but in theory (not necessarily SDSU)...a team could lose 50 guys to graduation, transferring out of the program, and declaring early for the NFL draft without being able to replace the same numbers that a team lost...

Yes 25 is the maximum. But schools can bring in more guys as grey shirts so long as they don't start school in the fall and take no more than 6 units at a JC.
