The nation's top snapper?
And Scout gives him 2 stars?
Typical.

Aztecs have one of the best LS's graduating this year , best bet among the Aztecs to make an NFL team . But they rarely get any notice unless they screw up the hike on a punt , FG or PAT . To my recollection ,have not seen one screw up by our guy this year or the last few years . So no they do not get much star awards .
Interesting to note Utah thought they had a lock on signing him

So, that is great and means we should have continued success on long snaps the next few years! Way to go Aztecs!!!!!

Sure helps to have a LS that you believe can get the job done . Field Position and scoring do get involved with the LS . Sure helps when punting , PATS , FG's . Some things we take for granted until there is a screw up all parts of the big puzzle .

Unless he no longer is with the team Ryan Simmons a Soph this year is also a long snapper. I don't know if he was on a scholarship as a lot of these guys are often walk-ons until they prove themselves. As I recall Jeff Overbaugh was a scholarship player from the start and had been recruited by several P5 teams.

Jeff Overbaugh #60
Is our current LS. I believe he is 100% for good snaps in his career here.

He's an Under Armour All American. And because he commits to SDSU, he gets a 2 star rating. What a large crock of BS. Oldie Out

He's an Under Armour All American. And because he commits to SDSU, he gets a 2 star rating. What a large crock of BS. Oldie Out It wasn't Scout/Rivals/Espn that gave him the #1 ranking. According to them, he isn't #1. It is an independent company/academy who runs a camp and trains these long snappers that gave him the #1 ranking for that academy's class. So, of the long snappers who showed up to this camp, Bernard was ranked #1 out of them. kohlskicking.com/recruiting/national-rating-system/snappers/2016247sports has him as the #6 long snapper Scout has him as the #3 long snapper Rivals doesn't rank long snappers, nor has it as a position you can search. Regardless if he is #1 in the nation or #6, we got a stud and will continue the legacy of great long snappers.
