As far as I could see there was 1 Penn State fan that registered here & was well behaved. This may be an all time low # for fan interaction. I guess Aztec Steve did his Pied Piper thing and lured them all to another message board!
GO AZTECS!

As long as they don't try to be "obnoxious" like some we have had visit the board!

I was at Miller's field in PB and an old timer Penn State fan came up to me and started a convo. Said he is from Philly and moved to SD for the Navy. Served on the Midway and was sporting his Midway Navy cap. Told me his wife was a Penn State alum, but both his kids were Aztec Alums. Very cool guy. Makes it pretty hard to talk trash. They were all pretty respectful and had nothing bad to say to us there.
I'm sure had we went ahead in the 4th quarter instead of fumbling a TD away, it could've gotten ugly though lol

Actually, the Vol fans that posted back when were the better ones!
It could have been worse. Ask Butch Jones, the current football coach. No mercy.

They were great in Happy Valley. The best I have ever experienced. Without question the best fans I have ever experienced. I've been to a lot of roadies for both SDSU and my other alma mater and have never experienced more gracious people ever. Must have been told "thanks for coming" at least 50 times from people just randomly walking by me. Not one bad word uttered or look given to me.

They were great in Happy Valley. The best I have ever experienced. Agreed. Awesome fans. I got a ton of "welcome and thanks for making the trip" even while sitting in the middle of all pau fans during the game

I agree the fans in Happy Valley were great. Our group was very well received and they were happy to have us. Ran into only one bad fan inside, but overall it was the best road experience since going to Ohio State and participating in Hiney Gate. The atmosphere in the bars all around State College was great too. I'd highly recommend a visit in the future. Hope we return again one day. Now if we can only catch a punt with 59 seconds left in the first half we may have won the game and made it a memorable game too.

Couldn't agree more with the above. Top notch road experience!
Probably stopped a dozen times in my Aztec gear by PSU tailgaters asking me if I wanted to join them for a beer or a snack.
More of the same graciousness in the stadium. Penn State fans are serious about their football, but they "get" what being a College football fan is all about.
Truly a great experience. Walked away (a little disheartened by our play, but) thinking "this is what good college football is supposed to be like. Great venue, great fans, great weather. First class operation from top to bottom.
Hats off to the Nittany Lion supporters!

Really shows you how we at SDSU want and need to treat our football experience. It all starts with appreciating the young men who wear the red & black, wether good, bad or whatever. They put their bodies on the line and are for a large part really representing the University very very well on and off the field.

I'll echo all that. They were extremely gracious. The guy running the b&b I was staying at said it was a real point of pride for their fan base to be as gracious as possible... Except against Rutgers. Not sure why, but apparently they really hate Rutgers.

I guess rutgers fans have a chant they do on opposing teams thrd downs that is just "f*** penn state" regardless of whether they are playing penn state

Except against Rutgers. Not sure why, but apparently they really hate Rutgers. Last year was their first year in the conference and the first time we played in like 15 years. We held a 22-2 record against them and do a great job of recruiting in NJ, so they hate us. Well we played at there place last year and they treated our fans like trash. It was, by far, th worst experience that our fans have ever had at an away game. This year they came to our place and were treated well... so well that their fans commented on how embarrassed they were with how they treated us and how they yell "f--- penn state" on third down. Glad to hear that everyone here had a good time.

Thanks Getmyjive. Definitely used your tips to hit many of the bars on your list. I drank a few fishbowls too and bought some for current Penn St. students that were really nice to us.
