While I agree with you regarding the combat arms roles, I totally disagree with you regarding all other roles. A woman could probably do just a well as a man on 95% of the jobs in the Navy and Air Force. The same goes for all of the non combat arms jobs in the army and marine corps. And why is a woman being on board a ship any more expensive than a man? You only need separate berthing compartments.

You need to modify bathroom spaces. You must provide for many more products in both small stores and in the Ship's Store to accommodate women. There are many more things that take up the very limited space in ships and subs. While I agree that there are many jobs that women can do as well or maybe even better than men, it is no where near 95%. Anything that requires physical strength and endurance are better suited for men. I can probably think of hundreds of examples where women at sea reduce the readiness. Our Armed Forces are no place to carry out Social Experiments. I have seen this stuff first hand and know the problems are real.

You seem to think that a mere change of attitude can change facts on the ground. Different generations? Are you serious? Are females born after about 1990 somewhat bigger, taller, and stronger than those born earlier? Do they not have to deal with the same biological issues? Do they not have to worry about pregnancies? It's pretty clear that the Left wishes to ignore physical facts in search of a military in which women's advancement is more important than readiness. AzWm

Can't see them at the front in a hand to hand situation. But I think they can do everything else the guys can do other than heavy lifting. Israeli women seem to handle it okay.

AzWm I was referring to Win and myself not the women. I'll add you to the list also.

We have trained women for other roles and when the $#!+ hit the fan and mass deployment was ordered, the number of pregnancies increased significantly.
To be clear, pre-deployment many women service members got pregnant to avoid going to war. This is on top of the many other problems that having women in combat entails. As long as there is a sufficient supply of men, there is no need to have women in combat. It is not like women lag behind greatly in college. They are a distinct majority in colleges - they have other options.
