Does this really change anything? No one believes a 2/3 vote is going to pass anyway. Briggs even said an expanded Convention Center on the waterfront will never happen. So, we're still going to be in the same situation here next year when the 2/3 vote fails. I know the Chargers don't want MV but that is still on the table for the Chargers to take when Kroenke gets the ticket to LA next year. I just wonder how we're ever going to get a CC expansion done since apparently everyone says a 2/3 vote will NEVER pass here. Regardless of if the CC expansion gets 2/3rds voter approval or not the main point is that there is no political will to build a joint CC/Stadium downtown. The mayor doesn't support it & the hoteliers don't support it; thus, that plan is DOA. It just gives Fabiani and the Chargers more fuel to present to the NFL for relocation to LA. Sure, Mission Valley is still on the table, but considering the Chargers walked away from the negotiating table shortly after the initial presentation and have not returned or had any dialogue with the city it is obvious they don't like or believe in the MV plan. Chargers partnering with Rams in Inglewood gaining steam... espn.go.com/blog/san-diego-chargers/post/_/id/12423/chargers-partnering-with-rams-in-inglewood-gaining-steam

I see no logic for the NFL to move two teams immediately to an LA market that is not enthusiastic about football even returning to LA. And I still see no incentive for Kroenke to partner up with Spanos and Spanos doesn't want to be a tenant of Kroenke. And we are supposed to believe that these two guys who once had an agreement and a bad falling out, which lead to this ugly battle for LA are going to suddenly kiss and make up? And on top of all this, only the Coliseum has stepped up to be a possible temporary venue and even that's not a done deal yet. For any reason you can give for two teams going to LA next year, there are equally or more reasons as to why it doesn't seem like it's going to happen. IMO, the only likely scenarios for next year are the Rams going to LA or this getting delayed for a year. And Grubman has recently changed his tune on that issue after being so bullish on it being a certainty. Everything the Chargers have done in the race to LA has been a joke. From toxic landfills to the jokers in Carson's government. Carmen Policy was supposed to be the nail in the coffin but instead he's been a joke as well. If this is another Fabiani attempt of trying to pass of Kroenke as another leverage point in LA would just be icing on the cake and would mean it's doomed to fail as well.
