From AP article "Ronnie Hillman loves Denver's new zone blocking scheme. He leads the league with a 7.5-yard average this summer. "I think this offense fits him very well ... because that's what he did at San Diego State, he was a great zone runner," general manager John Elway said."

Funny thing is we didn't run that much zone blocking when Hillman was here.
But I will say that it does fit his style particularly well because he has a tendency to want to bounce outside and then cutback.

I just hope Ronnie expands, by quantum leaps, his "footprint" in the NFL this year---and thereby, selfishly, ours.

He has to cut down on his fumbling to be their every down back. Fumbling near the near the goal line plagued him here and followed him in the NFL. There's never been a question about his running.

So when was his last fumble? I look forward to your report.

<< knock on wood >> Ronnie's had a great preseason so far. He's finally running confident.. could see how tentative he had become the previous year plus.. I've put my reputation on the line the last few seasons that when given the opportunity, Hillman will be a stud. On top of the fans.. and especially most all of the talk show hosts, I've never seen a player be so unliked ever in all my years in Denver.. but listening to everyone now, it's a total 360 degree turn. If he can start the season off strong, could be a fan favorite. It definately doesn't hurt that Kubiak (the new coach) loves him.
On a side note, the shocker now is that Montee Ball could be the surprise cut of training camp.. And, there is a Leon McFadden sighting.. he's playing for the Niner's now. He's another one that I think could be a great corner in the league.. glad to see him get another chance.

I hate the fumbling rap he gets....he had one really bad fumble. He doesn't fumble so much to be labeled a fumbler. He just had bad timing when he did drop the rock.

So when was his last fumble? I look forward to your report. I recall a critical fumble against TCU at TCI's 3 yard line when the game was on the line at the Q. For some reason he fumbled more in his last Aztec year than in his previous year. I saw his last fumble near the goal line in Denver, I don't recall who it was against, but that's about when I believe it was Moreno who took over as the RB. Whenever the Broncos were on TV I tuned in to see if he plays. Evidently you don't, otherwise you'd see what I've seen. BTW I don't like to report to a poster who uses FAKE in his handle.

A 180 would have you completely changing to the opposite direction.

Stats don't lie, he isn't a fumbler.

Sorry pal, it's just a schtick, feel free to get over it. As for Hillman, you perpetuate a false narrative, stats show that he isn't a fumbler. That Manning fellow is however, and should be benched!

Glad you said that stats can lie, because if I remember correctly, he was benched for pretty much the rest of the season after that goaline fumble, so low fumble totals don't mean squat if he didn't carry the ball a lot.

I'm just glad he's out of the doghouse and back in the slot.
Those of us with Hillman jerseys can relateā¦

Well, I drafted him on to my fantasy team. I feel good about him this season.
