When JJ was a sophomore Fish was asked which current Aztec would be the next NBA player. Fish said: "JJ O'Brien."

People throwing a parade for this guy and they forget that the jazz are tanking. Might as well go the full retard and sign this turd and lose more games. Brilliant strategy. I've been on some form or fashion of these boards for about 12 years. In that time I've seen some crazy people, stupid people, arrogant people, and cruel people. Some of the most irrational beliefs have been thrown around on this board, from secret agendas of admins to conspiracies of NCAA officials. I have to say that your illogical and bizarre criticism of JJ despite his overwhelming successful career filled with both individual and team accolades, the praise of opposing coaches, local and national media, and now NBA scouts, and winning season after winning season might just take the cake of stupidest continual posts I've seen from one poster. Actually I take that back. Steve's Zumba conspiracy and JOC's reffing conspiracy are the stupidest. But yours is a close 3rd. At this point it just be pride that keeps you from admitting your idiotic thesis that JJ was a "fringe d1 player." The absurdity of your determination to continually defend yourself boggles the mind. That fool just needed to do his job, which was to rebound the ball. In fact, he's the worst starting power forward in the Fisher tenure. Guys like Josh Davis, Billy White, Aerick Sanders, Randy Holcomb, Marcus Slaughter, Mohammed Abukar, Kawhi, Malcolm Thomas and even Jamaal Franklin (yes Jamaal played pf) did a much better job taking care of their business and put this guy to shame tbqh. I never drunk the JJ kool aid and if we had any one of those previously mentioned on our team instead of him we would've had more success than we did. The guy really has no skill, that in a scale of 1-10, i'd grade his skill level a zero. He could not rebound or finish inside because he was undersized and couldn't jump. He couldn't stretch the floor cause he couldn't shoot. Give him the ball at crunch time? Better not get fouled cause he's a terrible free throw shooter. Energy guy? Not even that he is slow and didn't hustle. As for him getting a contract to play for the Jazz? i'd say match made in heaven. Turd franchise and turd of player would go together very well. Good riddance.

Trolling!! Ha ha ha. 10.3 points with 5.2 boards and 2.4 assists as a fifth year senior are not the kind of numbers that typically get a guy into the NBA. JJ worked as hard as anyone could as a collegiate athlete. He was constantly asked to do things for our team that no one else on the roster could do. He did everything that he could do with his talent and skill set. If he is the unlikely guy that can become an NBA player, great. No one deserves it mor than he. I personally don't see him as an NBA level player but I am ecstatic that he is getting the chance to prove me wrong and will gladly eat crow if and when that happens.

Worse case, it's a resume builder to play overseas and make a lot of money playing basketball.

He's a known troll. Just pure, slow-motion diarrhea. Unfortunately it's not just Honey Badger. No arguments here. The disconnect between reality and some jokers' views of college athletics is shocking. It's hard to imagine some of these people ever actually knowing/meeting our student athletes. Too many think they owe us something; too many think they deserve to be treated like professionals.

I'm at JJ's game now in Boise. He is playing great. Started slow by missing 3 shots, then lights out. D on Vander Blue. Stampede are running plays for JJ. End of 3 with 30 pts, 13 of 18. He is also talking on floor and has kept at least 1 in the right spot and moving on O. I paid 9 bucks extra to move down to row 3. Moved up 20 rows and passed 15 people. There is a reason he got a 10 day contract earlier. Very smart and good player/leader.
