www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25261945/hall-of-fame-banner-shows-seau-in-patriots-jersey-chargers-fans-not-happy This is perhaps the stupidest thing I've ever seen from the NFL. First off, Junior is a San Diegan, a native son. He grew up in North County. He went to school at Oceanside HS and U$C. He played 13 seasons, the prime of his career, with the Chargers. His family ran a restaurant in San Diego. This is a slap in the face to every Charger Fan and Player. San Diego is completely irrelevant to the NFL. Did Namath go in the HOF as a LA Ram? Did Unitas go in as a Charger? Did Alworth go in as a Cowboy? Will Favre go in as a Viking? Finally, it could certainly be argued that the last 3 years Junior spent as a Patriot probably contributed to his concussion related death. Is that what the NFL wants to celebrate?

I wonder if the Patriots and Bill Bellycheck had anything to do with "suggesting" that he be put in the banner in a Patriots uni. Obviously the Patriot organization is not the most ethical and moral Football team in the NFL, but are allowed to do anything they want by the NFL.
Chris Berman mentioned the "famous" story about when Junior landed in New England to play there wearing shorts and flip flops. A lot of people like to tell this story and then get that ironic chuckle of how people in San Diego don't know how to dress in cold weather. Junior was on the plane in shorts and flip flops, he didn't walk around that $#!+ hole New England in the middle of winter in shorts and flip flops, so fellow San Diegans, you don't need to wear shorts and flip flops for that next cold weather Aztec road trip so everyone will know you are from San Diego.

I understand your exasperation, but he did finish his career with the Patriots. When a player is inducted, and he played for more than one franchise he is usually shown in the uniform of the last team he played with. I don't think that New England had anything to do with that it was just standard procedure by the NFL Hall Of Fame. You can bet when you do go to view him in the HOF there will be info about him , and his accomplishments and the teams he starred on to read.
