Those that don't like these uniforms, please purchase tickets and donate them to kids that will appreciate what Nike did for SDSU! Gosh, we would still be wearing red leather helmets if it was by choice of some of you in the name of tradition. HAHAHAHA THIS. So true. People need to embrace change sometimes

I'm fine with the new uniforms, but the most important thing to me is that they reflect an apparent willingness by the administration to embrace the Aztec name and do so proudly rather than walking on egg shells for fear of PC backlash over use of the name. I continue to believe that orientation for every incoming student and staff member should include an introduction to SDSU's historic use/interpretation of Aztec culture as shown in the names of various campus features and its sports teams. It leads further credence to the meaning of being a Aztec for Life!

the sleeves remind me of the frilly blouses women used to wear during the 80's. Like the helmet, hate the sleeves. Well, what do you want the sleeves to look like? You got to understand that if the sleeves were just a solid red, the helmet would look tacky. They need to go together. It would be a massive fopaw. And if the sleeves were just solid black like the rest of the jersey, there would be something missing and would look incomplete. If you like the designs of the helmet, then there is no excuse not to like the sleeves. They are the same design. the sleeves would have looked awesome all black, all white, or a with a black/red arm ring. the Aztec calendar design isnt the issue...the sleeves are tacky. Maria Von Trapp would proud of the curtain/sleeves. going to have a hard time selling to anyone not wearing shoulder pads.

Maria Von Trapp would proud of the curtain/sleeves. going to have a hard time selling to anyone not wearing shoulder pads. I believe these uniforms are the same type (Mach Speed) of uniforms that Nike unveiled in the CFP ... KEY DETAILS OF THE NIKE MACH SPEED FOOTBALL UNIFORMDurable, heavy-duty stretch-woven panels strategically placed to lock down the shoulder pads across the chest and back. New Nike Chainmaille 2.0 mesh fabric, used to provide strength at the neck grill for lock down fit. The same mesh is employed at the back of the neck, under the arm and in an air channel between the chest panels for increased airflow. Laser-perforated woven panels incorporated into major heat zones within the mid-section of the jersey - at the stomach and lower back - allowing for heat release where athletes need it most. The jersey armhole openings are rotated forward for a more articulated fit and better range of motion. An additional stretch gusset has been added below the armhole to enhance flexibility.Perforated woven fabric behind the knee to keep the athlete cool, augmented by a Nike Chainmaille 2.0 mesh panels at the side of the leg for zoned ventilation.

I didn't see the word "Aztec" anywhere on the uniforms.

Truly an oversight on their part.

Why do William and other MODs allow MOW to constantly troll threads? Derailing them and only talking about the same 2 or 3 things/people everytime? If you are tired of endless trolling and like football talk you should check out A Z T E C S F I G H T . C O M

As I mentioned in the other Uni thread, these were designed by a former Aztec Talker. Perhaps all those old uniform threads did bear fruit!

I think they look awesome.
The new look needs to translate to more success on the field though.
