These uni's are in my opinon the BEST we've ever had!
They are distinct, they are mean, they are modern, and they have just enough AZTEC historical reference to make them all our own! Great job on these NIKE! Great job on these AD.
And for a throwback, we can always bring back the Air Coryell/Marshall Faulk classic Aztec Football era shoulder striped jersey's every once in a blue moon.

Wait? No airbush?? Seriously, I like the design. Pays homage to the Aztec Calendar, clever. Nike stepped up for us. Good job. Oldie Out

like utilizing the Aztec calendar theme. don't like the black "stripe" on the helmet. 7.5 outta ten. I think the black stripe makes the helmet. I think it would of been overkill to do full aztec calendar on the helmet.

Best we've ever had. Period. Happy they got rid of the white stripes on the shoulders.

I absolutely love them. Especially if the kids are fired up for them then I'm fired up even more.

Those helmets and jersey stripes are sweet!
It's about time we made it to this century as far as design.

So glad we got rid of the spear pointing backwards on one side of the helmet. That was hard to look at.

I like them. We've had an identity issue for the last few years with branding. So I think they did a good job incorporating "SDSU", the DS (SD) logo and "San Diego State" on the uniform. It's also not a drastic change from what we are use to (color schemes).

Wild Crazy. I like them. Did they really need to put the SD logo front and back as well as SDSU. That part is out of control.

Here's the reason I love them. 1) perception is everything and this will appeal to recruits and players. 2) the design makes the head and shoulders look wider, therefore bigger. When dealing with egos and and an intimidation sport like football this will add a small yet important advantage when playing. 3) the spacing of the stripe adds a meanness to the helmet. Again it'll work in our favor (even if a small psychological one) when we hit the field. 4) it pays homage to the Aztec culture.
Good on Nike for designing these.

8/10
Really like the use of the Aztec calendar. It's unique and could develop into a "signature" look that finally will be our own (like black jersey's used to be). Not feeling the sleeves, look very similar to other nike jerseys(not the calender patter, just the colored sleeve concept). Hoping there is still a secret alternate or two with a solid colored helmet(rather have all red or all black patter on the lids with opposite color trim) and possibly the incorporation of gold (we could call them our "Empire" look, as in Aztec Empire). Either way these are better than anything we've had in a long time.

Wild Crazy. I like them. Did they really need to put the SD logo front and back as well as SDSU. That part is out of control. I think they have to. There are casual college fans that only know us as "SDSU" or San Diego State. I believe the SD logo is part of the over all branding strategy as our sports logo. Much like when you see the yellow "M" or red "N" on sports center - you recognize that the logo's belong to Michigan and Nebraska. Eventually, when someone see's the SD logo it will become synonymous with San Diego State.

Will basketball get new ones similar to this? I know we made a small change last year or year prior.

So bad ass. Absolutely love the new unis. Talked with a coach last year about it and was given a preview of the design. So much better than I imagined. Kick ass

On the video there was no last name (just SDSU), I hope that is just a generic and they are not really getting rid of names on the jerseys. Other than that, they are very cool.
