The major recruiting weekend for Kentucky was last weekend for a number of the very high level recruits . Have not heard any results so maybe there are still looking or is he a fall back . Although AAC is developing into a very good conference. Wouldn't it be a great surprise if he was planning on dropping in to visit SDSU 11/2 to catch a game - we can always hope until he signs .

Would have been like deja vu having Cage and Allen together again in the front court. We would have had to move a few games back to the Sports Arena, and reopen Foggy's Notion!

Why isn't SDSU making a push for not only this guy but also his brother that's currently at San Diego Community college?

My son is a freshman at Texas so I've gotten into their recruiting pretty good. They feel pretty good about their chances with Allen. Shaka is having a great recruiting year so far. I'd love to see him here, but doesn't look like that's gonna happen.

The Texas post is talking about Jarrett Allen, his brother that's a top 15 player/recruit
His brother Leonard Allen Jr plays at San Diego City College and could walk on to SDSU...
Their dad played at SDSU
Why is there not any news that we are recruiting both of them to come to SDSU?

Do not think the coaches can say anything about a recruit until they are signed with the school . Has any one been out to see the guy who plays at SD JC ? Although tough to judge against local JC talent . Is he considered a CA or Texas resident ? for tuition . Why would he not be looking for a school with scholarship for 2016-17 season. ?
Jarrett a top 25 rated HS player , is probably looking to see what his best option is, in the spring for 2016-17 . After players announce NBA intentions ( although believe there are newer rules for college players this year , declaring options , better for the player tougher for coach )

At home 5pm and again Friday at Cuyamaca 5pm. He is blocking a lot of shots and scoring in the mid teens consistently.

We currently have 13 on scholarship, with only McDaniels coming in, plus 3 seniors graduating. That means we would have 2 openings for next season. You figure Perez has a shot at one, and somebody like Allen could take the final one.
Am I miscounting?
As a seemingly productive JC player who has good size, there's little doubt he's in position to get a scholarship from somebody out there. State is not going to be able to grab him as a walk-on.

Are you counting the 2 transfers and the redshirt waiting in the wings?

The 3 red shirts are currently part of the 13 scholarships , for 2015-16 season . We lose 3 graduating seniors , but are adding J. McDaniels so that puts the number at 11 for 2016-17 season .Unless Pope does leave early .
Two of the red shirts : Max 6'8" SF ,primarily a spot up shooter , and MG-C is scoring shooter/scorerSG/SF . Plus Shrigley shooter .
IMO #12 scholarship should go to a PF/C - definite need
# 13 - hold just in case , as we have overload of shooters Shrigley , Max , MG-C ,Kell, Pope (if he stays ). Perez deserves to go to a school where he has opportunity to start/play

Why are we discussing him? There is no known interest whatsoever!
