Maybe being the only west coast school among the most active at recruiting him gives us an advantage?

It was in an article on NBC Sports Basketball Talk , July 23 , by Raphielle Johnson. Review of the Wednesday games . He scored 29 points ( 13 of 14) 7 boards , for his Texas Pro team , writer said he was making wide variety of shots , hooks , jumpers ... seemed unstoppable, as thy beat a good NY Rens team by 20 . Then he talked about his recruitment being wide open.
I had not thought we were even on his radar .Very strong competition for C/PF , as there are not as many very good ones as there have been. Article did say the coaches from Kentucky, NC and Texas were there watching him in person . No mention if Fisher was there .

Before the summer evaluation period 24/7 had predicted he was going to UT Austin or Baylor. Now, who knows that he has been on the bigger stage.

there are not as many taller high quality players for 2016 as there have been the last few years . So they are even more valuable J. Allen has been using the evaluation weekends to move up the charts . to start the month he was about #17 , will be interesting to see where he is ranked at the end of the month and visits he lines up . Blue bloods were watching him and others .

watched him play in the Elite 24 game . saw that his list of schools did Not include SDSU but was hoping after seeing comments while he was in Vegas that he might give us a look . Too bad , we could use him . But he has numerous P5 schools going after him .

Texas just signed 6'10 James Baker, but Shaka still has 4 openings left in 2016.

were we so far off his radar that he did not even want to do in home with SDSU ?

were we so far off his radar that he did not even want to do in home with SDSU ? It would be a shame if he ended up at Houston or Kansas State. When he could play significant minutes at SDSU.

there not many higher quality guys out there in 2016 that actually want to play the 5 position . So he is in the top 5 and is being sought by the top programs . Wish he had us on his list.2017 has a lot more taller recruits.
