CBS sports today highlight Lamont Smith and his opportunities and challenges in building USD into a top tier D-1 team. Many comparisons to the Aztecs were made. "...Smith was brought on in part to fight the area/territory battle with San Diego State, a Mountain West team that's become a top-25 program in the country in the past 15 years under Steve Fisher. It's been one of the all-time amazing program constructions in the history of D-I. And now Smith has to try to compete on that level within city boundaries..." Interesting read. He has already brought in a few kids from Texas. And just offered SD local Tim Harrison from Parker HS. www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/25230295/lamont-smith-hopes-to-be-the-man-that-saves-and-defines-san-diego-basketball
