Somewhere Honey Badger is banging his head against a wall, and wondering if his girlfriend will now move to Utah! : )
Congrats to JJ. Well deserved. A terrific ball player, and glad JJ will be staying stateside for at least 1 more year!

A terrific ball player, and glad JJ will be staying stateside for at least 1 more year! It's obvious the Jazz staff don't know nearly as much about basketball as Honey Vadge. Fish and staff never learned their lesson and didn't listen to HV's advice. Will the Jazz? Time will tell.

It wasn't just the HB that was saying JJO had no shot at making an NBA team... there were numerous guys who flat out said he had NO shot. Well, all you folks that are so certain you know everything (and you know who you are), it appears you that you really don't. Regardless of whether JJ sticks or not, he is clearly way way closer than all of those who have posted here over the last several months who thought that he had 'no shot at all to make an NBA team'.
Congrats JJ!

I, for one, never said that JJ would have no shot at making the NBA, but I sure thought it. What he's done is fantastic. Congrats to JJ.

When JJ was a sophomore Fish was asked which player on his team would be the next NBA guy. Fish replied: "JJ O'Brien".

Good for him. He got a camp invite! Just remember, Chris Gaines participated in spring training for the Padres.

When JJ was a sophomore Fish was asked which player on his team would be the next NBA guy. Fish replied: "JJ O'Brien". Wouldn't that have been Jamaal (who was a junior when JJO was a sophomore)?

Further proof how advantageous the JAM center is going to be. They put him on the perimeter and not in the paint after working hard on his perimeter shots.

Congrats JJ! At the time they were correct, he wasn't a 4 and was too inconsistent from the perimeter as a 3 here. He had a chance to work on his shot after graduating and it paid off. So who knows? Fisher may have been put him at the 3 if the JAM center was available. Nobody questioned his high basketball IQ, but doubts as a 4 was valid.

It's as-if Fish had already completely forgotten about Kawhi...

Love JJ but he isn't going to make the roster
PG: Exum Burke Neto
SG: Hood Burks Millsap
SF: Hayward Ingles
PF: Favors Booker Lyles
C: Gobert Plies
They need a third center, and cotton has been really good in summer league, may want to sign him, Johnson is probably in front of jj as well as cooley in totum pole as well.
Either way JJ has had a great showing.
