from SB Nation:
BREAKING: Shaqquan Aaron Will Reportedly Transfer To USC. Several other sources are also reporting this.
Rivals now has it on the USC front page.

I was 50/50 on wanting him here. Didn't seem like a Fisher type player. e.g., bad attitude, questionable work ethic, etc...

The guy is a high level recruit. Good job Tony Bland (as an SDSU coaching factory product - this is still a win for SDSU)

Good luck at sc young man
SDSU doesn't need players who don't want to be here
Btw... We'd crush sc next and the coming years anyway

The kid went to play for his old coach. Pretty simple. No biggie

LA kid returns to LA. No real surprise. I'm impressed we were even in the mix. Good luck to the kid.
Next!

With Nairain saying basically "I'll tell you in August" There was no scholarship available for this guy.Plus we do not need any recruits that have behavior issues around especially on a transfer redshirt where he is going to be around for a while.

the guy was rated #30 in 2014 . SDSU coaches asked him to visit here he did , coached offered him a scholarship, had no problems with him, wanted him to come in and replace Malik for 2016 . Could be a difference maker . Now we really could use another top recruit or two for 2016 . Who can we sign?

We have a scholarship available. The debate was whether Narain reclassifies to 2015 vs. Aaron taking it & Narain staying in 2016. Narain accepted a 2016 scholarship, NOT a 2015 scholarship.
I'm sure the coaches have a good idea as to whether or not Narain really will classify to 2015 or not, and may have even said there wouldn't be a scholarship for him UNTIL 2016 if Aaron committed.
Personally, given the choice of just 1 or the other, I'd rather see Narain in 2015 than have Aaron in 2015 & Narain in 2016 but understood the desire to bring in Aaron.
So, unless some other transfer emerges, it'll come down to Narain reclassifying or we keep an open scholarship for 2015 for a mid-year transfer or simply another 2016 recruit.

That was basically my understanding execpt that Narain would have to wait til 2016 if Aaron commits

Good luck at sc young man SDSU doesn't need players who don't want to be hereBtw... We'd crush sc next and the coming years anyway These kinds of comments are beyond idiotic, I'm sure most of the kids on our current team had schools ranked higher on their wish list than SDSU but still proudly chose us as their best option. Just because a kid doesn't choose us, doesn't mean he doesn't like the program and wouldn't have been proud to wear red and black.
I personally think SDSU would have provided a better opportunity for winning, but you just never know all that goes into a decision.
