Congrats to Shaqquan. We can't win 'em all and it's great to see us trending up the food chain. USC is a great school and we will look back at this "no" and be glad it lead to the "yes" we have yet to see.

We have a scholarship available. The debate was whether Narain reclassifies to 2015 vs. Aaron taking it & Narain staying in 2016. Narain accepted a 2016 scholarship, NOT a 2015 scholarship.
I'm sure the coaches have a good idea as to whether or not Narain really will classify to 2015 or not, and may have even said there wouldn't be a scholarship for him UNTIL 2016 if Aaron committed.
Personally, given the choice of just 1 or the other, I'd rather see Narain in 2015 than have Aaron in 2015 & Narain in 2016 but understood the desire to bring in Aaron.
So, unless some other transfer emerges, it'll come down to Narain reclassifying or we keep an open scholarship for 2015 for a mid-year transfer or simply another 2016 recruit.
That was basically my understanding execpt that Narain would have to wait til 2016 if Aaron commits Yes, that's what I said (in bold). : )

Got it so are there any other tranfers that we are pursuing?

Got it so are there any other tranfers that we are pursuing? Who knows? We'd probably hear about it about when they'd schedule their visit or show up on campus.
My guess is no, and either Narain takes it or we save the scholarship.
But transfers happen at any time and very frequently in today's world, so someone we're interested in could come available in the new few weeks? The carrousel is always turning these days.

He is yet another former Mater Dei BB player to complete one year at a University, then transfer out. Why do these guys keep doing this? Do any of them stick beyond one year? What could they be expecting and not getting? Just curious...

From what I have researched on this guy; he is a problem and probably would end up on academic probation anyway.
There are a lot more whores at the University of Spoiled Children anyway and USC is known for taking it's recruits to strip clubs after they get picked up in that stupid helicopter that some coked out USC alum in LA bought for them.
