Unlike the NBA when teams tank to get into the draft lottery, college recruiting gets better the more you win, i.e: Duke this year, Kentucky previous years, Zona grabs all great players east of Texas to the Pacific coast, they all become destinations for 4 & 5 Star athletes. In summary build it and they will come, versus putting hard work into recruiting and getting a payout at the end. As Blue Blood you make the top 10 list for all top 25 players.
My point, when I read this article today, "Arizona coach Sean Miller will replace Billy Donovan as the head coach of the USA U19 team that will compete this summer in the World Championship Games." Just as Coach K coaches the US National team, the rich keep getting richer in college athletes and everyone else is left picking up the pieces. I know life isn't fair and you deal with the cards your dealt.
Kudos to coach Fisher and his staff for recruits to the likes of: Nolan Narain, Malik Pope, Zylan Chetham, Trey Kell, Dakarai Allen, WSIII, Skyler to Kawhi and so on. Also, for giving guys a second chance and engaging them and having confidence and his support; X, JJ, DPII, Josh Davis and all those transfers before them.
This year I am happy to see the Top 5 guys to LSU, Cal (2x), Maryland and Mississippi State and not Kentucky, Duke, UCLA, Louisville, Arizona and Kansas. (They did get there share.)
Thank you coach Fish and staff for building this program from the ground up. Keep building, keep up the work at SDSU.

I agree. The good news is that in basketball a school can really only sign 3 or 4 players as they only have a limited amount of scholarships. That does allow plenty of great talent to go to other schools.
